Hey everyone.

I'm sure some sort of demographics survey has been done in the past but I haven't seen one since I've been here and I'm curious. I've tried to keep it pretty basic. I know people are touchy about their privacy, and I know some aren't cool with being asked about special abilities/skills/powers/whatever, so obviously skip questions if you want to, no hard feelings. I'd rather just get name/age/planet than nothing at all, you know? Not like I'm going to hunt you down and force you to fill it out. But if you're willing to be more complete that'd be awesome and if there's something you think is important that I didn't include a field for, let me know.

Maybe there's a pattern here somewhere, maybe there's not, but at the very least it might be interesting or provide some useful data for department recruitment or something. Maybe you'll find some friends, whatever.

He promised people Christmas? And didn't deliver? Wow, Sirius. Wow. I feel like this is going to have to involve some sort of quest to mend his damaged heart and rebuild burnt bridges now. It'll probably end in a sing-a-long.

Why a sing-a-long?

Because that's how ninety percent of Christmas movies go. [ Kate says as if this is very obvious. ] Someone's anti-Christmas, they end up on some sort of journey that makes them nicer people who are grateful for the magic of Christmas, and then everyone sings.

Right, but I'm not anti-Christmas. That's why I had the idea for space Christmas in the first place.

Are you sure? Because I think promising people Christmas and then not delivering it is even worse than there being no Christmas at all. You're a Christmas tease.

No doubt! Some months back, a dear friend of mine bade any who came across him to bring him before her so she might see to it that he made good on his promise. In over a year, he has apparently failed to deliver on his word.

Is that not terrible? Surely this calls for some form of quest.

It definitely calls for a quest. I mean, he does have a pretty good point about Christmas needing to happen at the right moment, but over a year is much too long. He's totally a Christmas-tease. There should be some sort of price to pay.

Then I shall have to consult Lucrezia about what manner of punishment is most befitting of such a grievous crime against the denizens of this ship, and the three of us may mete it out upon him together.

Does that sound acceptable? [ this is so much fun. ]

Definitely. [ Assuming this is an all in good fun sort of punishment and doesn't involve Lucrezia poisoning him or something. She hasn't connected the first name with Borgia yet, or she might inquire more closely before agreeing. ]

Good! Meanwhile, he is being a boor and attempting to confuse me about the nature of the flow of time upon this ship.

What do you think of it, my lady?

( what? lucrezia would never poison anyone for fun like that. if she ever hears such rumours spoken, she will defend her friend—nay, her sister. )

You can't predict space Christmas. Er, Yule. It's not a thing that you can know when it's happening--if it was, that would be disappointing. It has to be a surprise.
