Hey everyone.

I'm sure some sort of demographics survey has been done in the past but I haven't seen one since I've been here and I'm curious. I've tried to keep it pretty basic. I know people are touchy about their privacy, and I know some aren't cool with being asked about special abilities/skills/powers/whatever, so obviously skip questions if you want to, no hard feelings. I'd rather just get name/age/planet than nothing at all, you know? Not like I'm going to hunt you down and force you to fill it out. But if you're willing to be more complete that'd be awesome and if there's something you think is important that I didn't include a field for, let me know.

Maybe there's a pattern here somewhere, maybe there's not, but at the very least it might be interesting or provide some useful data for department recruitment or something. Maybe you'll find some friends, whatever.

Yeah, she's so incredibly badass she can kind of just wear whatever and pull it off.

Nothing very exciting, actually, at least for mine and most of them. It's basically just engineered to be more comfortable than anything that close to spandex should be, and also to have special resistance to blades. It won't stop a bullet or an arrow unless it's a graze anyway, but it takes some real effort to get a knife through it. A friend of mine who's a shapeshifter has one that involves some sort of nanofiber technology that basically expands or contracts as his body does.

I'm not sure how far you'll get with blasting through the walls. I know some people have already tried and haven't gotten anywhere. But as long as you're not going through the exterior ones, i wouldn't worry too much about damaging the infrastructure. Theres other places that wouldn't be such a good idea either but i'd have to pull up a schematic to point them out. Depends on how many walls you think you'll be blasting through an how the impact will radiate, too. Cutting would be easier on the frame - on any frame - as it's less likely to create any ripples through the material and considering how little we know about the actual material used to create the ship....

It's complicated. But if you want to experiment there're easy places to try. Any mid-interior hallways should be safe. Just take care to keep your blasting radius in check. If it actually works, going through more walls could be dangerous; keep it to a minimum until we know more.

Because that's how ninety percent of Christmas movies go. [ Kate says as if this is very obvious. ] Someone's anti-Christmas, they end up on some sort of journey that makes them nicer people who are grateful for the magic of Christmas, and then everyone sings.
