There are no poems today, no joyful greetings, something is different. She looks more pensive than anything else but there is a shade of concern there as well as quiet annoyance.

When she speaks, her voice is devoid of any of it. Her eyes still focused on the sea-horse. ]

How to mourn for someone who does not deserve it?

If your duty demands it and you have no desire to - do all men need to be mourned for? Is it a a more grievous sin not to mourn than it is to speak false words of grievance?

[ a beat. ]

Perhaps I must fast again.

[ a moment later she puts down her necklace, smiles. ]

I would have a cup of wine with your answer, if any of you have some to spare. You will join me in the lounge.

[ She sits for a second, considering. She pertains it to her own life. And then, past that. She muses abstractly. ]

I think everyone deserves to be mourned. Dictators have wives. Murderers have children. Families. It's a matter of, if you want to mourn. But, it's not an obligation. I think it depends. If I didn't mourn for someone, it's the guilt that I might be worried about. But, if there's no guilt there there's nothing saying you should or shouldn't mourn. That was a long winded way of saying it's up to you.

If I had any wine, I'd share it. Believe me.

Hey, she asked for wine, and given what she's talking about, it's probably a good idea to get some alcohol in her system.]

[Does he grieve over what he'd done to his son's killer? Hardly. Maybe he'd have grieved over what he had lost at the expense of what becomes of someone who shows no mercy to a man who didn't deserve it.]

Would it make it easier if someone that you do care about might mourn them? Then you could sort of mourn for their sake.

[ she tries to think of it. If someone had died that she would have loathed and Cesare would have adored she would try for her brother's sake, certainly. ]

Yes. But I fear I do not know anyone who would mourn them.

[ He is a good man, Robb Stark. Lucrezia is beginning to understand, perhaps she always knew, far too good for a Borgia. Borgias are poison and schemes and Robb Stark had always been true with her and dragged her own truthfulness out in return. ]

[Sometimes Lucrezia is bright and funny and clever, but sometimes she isn't, and this is one of those times. There are times to be serious, but Sirius doesn't have very much use for them--and anyways fit girls should never be serious, and should never fast, and should always have wine--so.
