As pointed out in a recent transmission, there are some individuals here who resemble one another. There are others whose worlds are similar to others', while others still have worlds that differ radically.

The following is a survey designed to attempt to determine whose worlds are most similar to whose. As a full disclaimer, I am not a trained sociologist/demographist, nor do I claim to be. My credentials extend no further than merely dabbling in disciplines related to those and having studied the science of writing the census briefly when I was younger. Nevertheless, I believe this may be a useful diagnostic tool.

I would encourage everyone who sees this to take a look at others' responses. If you see something familiar, please discuss with the other individual what that similarity is; from there, please try to determine just how similar/different your worlds are.

Oh, but I am a bad student. I don't complete assignments--I get one of my best mates to do them for me. I'm a good wizard and I'm clever but my student career is not illustrious.

Then you're not a good - [The word tastes a bit bad in his mouth.] Wizard. Because that means you're hindering yourself and not achieving your full potential, and that makes you bad.

Because I skipped an essay on goblin wars and made up half my star chart in fourth year? I think my potential is doing all right, thanks, and I still manage good marks.

But no one can be good at something if they don't put the work in.

S'ppose that means I'm here to be the living defiance of that particular thought as well, mate.

[Edgeworth's look has, over the course of this conversation, developed into something of a pout.]

My opinion of you could never count as "proof," you know, but I will write it if you so desire.

If you signed it very officially, I think it would be proof enough--or it would at least be enough of a confusion and distraction to get me out of some small troubles.

I think you're overestimating the weight my word carries.

And I think you're underestimating how easily impressed everyone will be when I present them with credentials stating just how hard-working I am. They'll be so confused, they'll likely forget to collect whole essays.

Then...Fine. I stand by what I believe to be the truth; if you think you can get some advantage from it, then so be it.

[He glances briefly away from the camera, rather embarrassed but not willing to give the actual translation of that sentence: "People don't like me."]

[Fortunately, Sirius understands his meaning well enough, even if it's an obstacle he's never faced.]

[He scowls, then recovers his temper.]

[He struggles not to laugh at the first bit, and--after a few moments of said silent struggle--]

You could say that, yeah. Am I going to be handing out surveys? I might have a moral objection to that one.

...Why would you have a moral objection? Surveys aren't immoral.

They are. Immoral. Violating personal time and freedoms. It's a well-known fact. Is that what you want me to do?

Since it's evidently so morally objectionable to you, I suppose not.
