we might have a problem.

[ normally tony wouldn't bring this up at all, but creepy red smile thing is really fucking creepy and this is some shit out of a horror film. ]

not a demon problem, because unless i'm wrong winchester and the angel thing have that dealt with. was going to mention this before that came up, but not all of us can split our attention between two things. actually most of you can't.

right, though, problem of the ship variety.

i know what you're going to say, tony you made the creepy smiling thing mad. you're going to get us all killed. no, i'm not. what i did was discover something kind of important. the good ship tranquility is watching us. and as much as i'm cool with being watched, kind of want to know who the fuck is watching me on this huge ship. weirdly enough.


i know you two are watching everything. what do you say about this?

[ finally tony adjusts his device to video and if they pay attention, they see that he's in his suit. it's a bit of a way to intimidate them, but he's not going to come right out and say it. ]

the ship, not technically the general belief. ruling powers in charge, yes. ship, no. for the demons to be a stimuli, they would have had to have been there the entire time, making a ruckus. also doing demon things. as someone who's been here since the first jump, they came this time. if you're going to stimulate us, like lab rats, it doesn't make sense to do that.

never mind that typically, unless you're a insane mad scientist, you don't threaten to burn your rats. test subjects. whatever you want theoretically call us.

Not necessarily. Truth be told they would, of course, have to get a constant first; or at least a general assumption of how we would behave if unaffected by outside sources. that's the only way one could gauge the difference between our behavior now and our behavior when subjected to something-- be it demons or otherwise.

Also, you have to take in consideration the fact that they seem to be able to draw us from WHENEVER they like. I've the feeling were one of us to perish that they would be just as able to replace us. It is like doing tests when you have an endless supply of rats. One doesn't worry about harming them if you know there's always another. Which is to say, even if our demise was irreversible, that doesn't mean they can't replace us with someone else-- they seem to have access to all worlds and times.

to have a constant you'd need a controlled group of us that isn't affected by a single thing and even then you have variables that you can't control with people since safely can say that we're not all alike. add into the fact that a) people have just left and not died and b) there have been people who came back after leaving. again not dead. ruins any data you might have collected.

WHENEVER but- okay, theoretically, say you're right and they can just replaces us if we die. remember how i said no one has actually died on this ship? and how we've just had them somehow return home during i suppose a jump? you're one of those cases, because i know you were here before, but you left and now you came back.

what if you can't bring back someone who's dead? i mean, yes you can replace them with a new metaphorical rat, but once a person dies here, there's no going back to get a new them from maybe a different time or...them going back home in general.
