what's the status of this ship? besides crashed
and what class is it? which system did it come from? i've never seen anything like it and i've flown almost everything there is
who was its pilot? its crew? does it have a hyperdrive generator? something this big should
you might know it as the jump drive. that's a term i've heard thrown around but nobody seems to really be able to explain it
i need to know every detail

there's obviously extensive damage all over but the worst debris can probably be stripped away
with time and the right tools
which i need
all of them, all of the tools
i don't care if it's a wrench or a hydrospanner, i need it
just put them in a pile somewhere and i'll sort through the mess
if there's a droid handy, i'll need that too
and lots of rope

i'm going to get this thing flying again

So this is probably a really stupid question
What do dogs eat?
I mean
I know what they eat normally
it's just
our predicament
& limited resources.

Mammalia aren't exactly my area of expertise.

PS- I got a light to turn on.

after seeing that last post, was thinking of the disappearances in general.
not just the handful that have also vanished without a trace recently.

just worried that people have been a little too quick to assume that everyone vanishing are going home, even if that's what the ship did each jump when it was still spacefaring.

so does anyone have other theories as to where people have been going?

home after all? taken? obsolete?

perhaps our "friends" in the jungle may have an idea?

Answer any of the following privately to receive a more difficult puzzle in reply.

1. What is the name of the land of fire with the burning mountain in it?

2. There is a four-digit number, with digits abcd (d in the ones position, c in the tens, and so on), that fulfills the following conditions. What is the number?
    a = b/3
    b = b
    c = a+b
    d = 3b

3. You are running in a race. Just before the finish line, you pass the person in second place. What place did you finish in?

1. Search with your mind, not your feet. This is for entertainment purposes only. Don't go looking for a burning mountain.
2. Send answers privately. Don't spoil it for anyone else.
3. Unless someone donates prizes, the only prize is more puzzles.

Who the hell wants electricity?
All in favor say Please. And preferably bring me something to eat.
And a saw. And copper. And some of that acid water. And some goddamn

This isn't a Support survey because Support no longer exists, but if you have a moment:

(1) Are you working on anything you need help with?

(2) Do you have help to offer other people?

(3) Do you have any weird skills that you don't currently know how to use but might come in handy someday if we're in the middle of a crisis and need someone with e.g. an extensive knowledge of 1800s Australian history to save us all?

(4) If we make a short paper guide to where we are and what's happened, so that in the event that we're all killed in one go by acid rain or vicious dinosaur-bears but the ship continues to turn out new people, they have something to go on, what do you think should go in it?

(5) Do we have a better name than dinosaur-bears?

Thank you. :)

I've made some sticks.

[ The video begins as if in mid conversation, because hey, we're all friends, here. Hawke's voice is audible as the speaker, but the feed is pointed downwards, where a cluster of -- indeed -- sticks are gathered on the ground. Or rather, roughly crafted staves. A sense of scale gives the impression that they're at least five to six foot in length, trimmed and mostly polished smooth, ends blunted. The video doesn't move from this view throughout. ]

They're for hitting one another with, although allegedly, some skill goes into it. Not fancy, when compared to your amazing thunder blast wands [ he knows they're called 'guns', probably ] but at least they don't run out of anything. If you'd like to learn how to hit things with sticks really well, I'll be practicing west of camp. We can have a go at each other. It'll be fun.

[ Definitely for Hawke, anyway. ]

Okay, we've got shelter downish. We've even got half reliable food. But water? If the weather's always like this, we're okay, but what if this is the rainy season?

We never had to stop to fill up on water when we were travelling. Now maybe we were managing to stretch the potable water farther than usual because we were way below regular crewing levels. But most ships have water recyclers. And we know there was potable water in Medical.

I know how the recyclers worked on my ship, but of course Tranquility is different. So I figure any set of techie eyes I can get will help. Who wants to take a look at plumbing and see if we can figure out where the water was processed? Maybe there'll be something we can reach that'll help with the river.

[The feed opens on a view of the jungle, dark as night falls over the trees. A fire burns in a pit to the right side of shot, the orange glow flickering across the trunks, the crackle and spit of burning logs. Boots come into frame, Riddick dropping to his haunches in front of the camera, only his hands and their recognisable guards visible. He's holding something. A medium-sized creature, limp in death.]

Got a sickness in the animals. [He holds the animal closer to the camera, showing the state of it. Bony ridges breaking through fur, misshapen limbs, blood crusted around its eyes. Sickly. Unnatural.] You see any, kill them. Burn the bodies.

[He rises to stand, boots turning, and the corpse is thrown onto the fire.]

So since no one else is going to talk about it...

Let's do a vote. Show of hands. How many of you think we're all alone here? A whole planet of pretty woods, jut for us. And how many of you think that we can't be alone. Maybe there's some city out there. Too bad you can't leave the camp.

And how many of you think that we're, like, totally surrounded. I hear that's a thing. Because there's spears, and they're stealing from us. Blah, blah. Tell me something real. If there's someone out there? I'd like to get to them first. I'd like to think everyone would agree with me, but I'm sure I'd be wrong.

Actually, you know what I'd love? I'd love for them to come by and try to get at my stuff. Consider this an invitation.

[ the mirror-shard is clutched in derek's hand. he's obviously unsteady on his feet, being buffeted about by the wind, but he shoves a mask briefly into frame before moving it aside to scowl down at the mirror. ]

Don't put them on.

[ important psa's that can't wait for sobriety, as much as derek resents having to both address people via mirror and do it while wind-drunk. ]

They're dangerous. Don't do it.

I’ve captured two of them.

[ Erik is still short of breath, teeth and eyes cut bright against the mud smeared swarthy around the cinderblock of his head. ]

Juveniles. They’re penned in the clearing outside of camp.

[ He blinks hard, blind eye rolling white in its socket. ]

I’m not sure what to feed them.
