Okay, we've got shelter downish. We've even got half reliable food. But water? If the weather's always like this, we're okay, but what if this is the rainy season?

We never had to stop to fill up on water when we were travelling. Now maybe we were managing to stretch the potable water farther than usual because we were way below regular crewing levels. But most ships have water recyclers. And we know there was potable water in Medical.

I know how the recyclers worked on my ship, but of course Tranquility is different. So I figure any set of techie eyes I can get will help. Who wants to take a look at plumbing and see if we can figure out where the water was processed? Maybe there'll be something we can reach that'll help with the river.

it's possible to collect water from the plants and ground. all you really need to extract it are plastic bags, cups, some plastic wrap and a few other things that aren't too hard to find.

should at least keep us going until you can figure out the recyclers. don't know much about those.

A way to chill things would help with that too

there's an alien and a woman who can make ice around here. the alien is pretty hard to miss.

Newtie's met the alien. The only thing with using people's abilities is that people still go missing without the jumps

yes that is always a possibility too.

perhaps there's something that can be salvaged from the medbay, such as refrigeration units for storage.

We might be able to run the bad water as coolant, too. If we coat the system with something that can handle the acid.

not a bad idea, though finding the material that won't just corrode when coming in contact with the water may be trickier.

Medical tubing would probably do the trick. I don't think we're going to be running many IVs.

you never know. but if it can withstand the acid then it's worth a shot. willing to try anything at this point.

I don't think anyone's checked on the groundwater yet. We should.

Yes. I'll see what equipment the science station might have to that effect - but of course our range is limited.

If you and Eleanor are going to the ship, I suggest looking there as well.

I'll check when we investigate, but that sort of equipment probably means going deeper than Medical. Which we'll probably have to do anyway, but I can't just go in without making arrangements for Newtie.
