[Ruby on her own bad, knees tucked under her chin. Not sad, not even exactly bored. Just trying to be calm and relaxed, listen inside herself to be aware of how bad the wolf is getting.]
Hot chocolate, too.

I could bring you some more books, if you'd like? I've found some wonderful ones in the library.

Which ones? Would you truly lend them to me?

[His voice is dry and flat, coming across unimpressed. But that's because he is. It doesn't even look like she's tried anything and just took to complaining about being sad over the network. Which apparently, Wash finds irritating.]
That's usually the first step.

[ she tilts her head, smiles a bit and leans on her pillows. ]
Talking. I find conversations helpful. If they are of the interesting or intelligent or entertaining sort.

I recommend the suggestions given by others, though--I could understand if reading or cooking grow a bit stale after a while. If I can find the necessary implements I'm thinking of crochet and knitting and carving as well. Oh! And sewing, provided there's enough fabric and thread.

[ she smiles because you're the first male to ever admit such a thing to her. ]
I do not think that reading will ever bore me. The trouble is, I have read most of the books already. It is hard to come by new ones.
