[ josh is looking a bit too disconcertingly mountain man-ish to pull off video, and he's too interested in not announcing his supernatural status to go for voice. that means anonymous text, though he's slightly reluctant to send it; he's aware this is a very weird and very specific question. ]
Who has experience with witches and shapeshifters? Either or, but if you know anything about an overlap, i.e. magic being used to prevent or prolong a shift, please share with the class.
And just to clarify: magic as in black magic, the kind with corpses and soul trading and other non-refundable mistakes. Mary Poppins need not apply.
[ and by mary poppins he means you jokers with the pink hair and the antlers. but that only covers one possibility, so a few extremely reluctant seconds later: ]
Or if you've ever just heard of shapeshifters getting stuck. Like, stuck in one form. Please share that too.

...Would it have killed you to mention the dying thing in the first place? Was it you or someone else having to need the conversion?
[ because maybe there's an I WAS DOING IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE CLAUSE. ]
text » anon
Not me. I made the deal, but it was to bring someone else back.

[ that is not the point, but give him a second to run down the list of wolves who have been quiet that he knows about and aren't derek who naturally is quiet. ]
There should be some clause that— if you're going to bring someone else back to life that's not selfish. It's not you bringing yourself back to life. Most not soup kitchen witches should be at least slightly sympathetic to that.

Donna was also eating the souls of the people she brought back from the dead, so if you're looking for examples of upstanding citizen witches - probably not going to find it here. She made deals for her benefit, nobody else's.

Barring Miss Witch Who Was Breaking Good Witch Rules, I would think that there's some clause with other witches, the ones that aren't opportunistic assholes, that if you were doing it for a good cause that maybe you could have this little mishap reversed.
Also, seriously, just a day or two a month?

And I'm networking with the witches on-board. Which is something I completely thought I'd end up doing with my life, networking with witches on a spaceship. Hopefully they'll have a solution that costs less than a soul.
Just one day. Same as usual, just switched.

Sometimes have to go to space. I assume that happens in the future. Imagine it, getting off world things for spells. If they don't offer that solution, remind them where they are, because bargaining for souls on a spaceship is a little stupid. What are you going to do with it? Get yourself off here? Come on.
...At the risk of repeating myself, that's not even far. If you've got the added days in a month, you should get the extra day.

I think Donna was eating them, by the way. She could probably still manage that on a spaceship.
And I guess it's an even trade. Never got stuck as a wolf 2x a month, so no twofers now.

[ ...yeah no that's optimistic. ]
As pessimistic as it sounds, she'd run out of them eventually. Did it even do anything for her? The eating, I mean.
Still kind of bullshit.

But yes, total bullshit.

[ call him curious, okay!! it sounds faintly interesting tbqh. ]
I can at least safely say I know zero witches who'd do that. Which doesn't help you, but look on the half bright side, they're not all soul sucking bitches.
no subject
And thanks. That's very comforting.
[ still going to judge witches 5eva sorry. ]
picture + text; DON'T JUDGE ME MELISSA
How do you even do that?
[ yes because clearly josh has the answer. ]
text; locked JUDGES U SO HARD
actually no the judging is completely legit, josh feels about the same way. ]
Don't ask me. Something to do with fire and her heart, apparently. And I mean that as in her physical heart, recently removed from her corpse, though I'm sure her strong personality helped.
text; locked THAT HURTS YOU KNOW.
What, did she eat too many spicy, artery clogging foods? [ that was a horrible comment to make so he follows it up with that. ] I would think that helped more. The personality made it...fiery. No matter how I word that I can't entirely take myself seriously saying that.
text; locked 8) also gj ric you out bad-joked josh!!
And by me-time I mean human time, meaning if I don't get this device somewhere safe soon I'll probably end up chewing on it.
text; locked MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
[ and done, go us. ]
