002: video;
I don't really enjoy making these recordings so I'll try and be brief. While things are slow in medbay - and I know I'm probably jinxing it by saying that - I want to remind people that we're open for run of the mill check ups, consultations on existing ailments, examining any strange itches or lumps, help with nutrition or sleeping problems--anything you need. We've seen it all before.
For those of you who frequently put yourselves at risk, the medbay really works better when we have stock of your own blood available, which means coming in and getting it drawn. We have synthetic blood, and all sorts of injections and tablets that can improve the capacity of blood production, but nothing is better than getting your own blood back when you get injured. It's especially important in the case of gunshot wounds where you lose a lot of fluids much too quickly.
And uh, finally... [ Dexter scratches his nose. ] If you have any odd nutritional needs, it'd be better if we could discuss them now rather than have to pick up the bodies later. Medbay can help, just give us a call. I promise we'll be one hundred percent discreet, no matter what.
Oh-- [ Not quite done yet, okay. ] Does anyone know how to make bear claws? Jelly filled donuts? I owe someone an apology, and baked goods have always been the way to go.

Looking at you, Dean WinchesterSo yeah, time for introductions or something. Benny starts by offering up one of his easy smiles. ]
Bear claws? Who're you tryin' to get on their good side?
video;
I used to buy them for my sister when I'd managed to piss her off, but there's a distinct lack of pastry shops on board. Right when I need one, too.
video;
Well, if I got the ingredients 'round here somewhere... I could be convinced to give up gumbo for a spell. What's your role at the medbay?

I mean- I'd be happy to donate blood, since i'm guessing any kind of a supply of it's not exactly easy. Mine might not be what you're looking for, though, I don't know. Maybe it is.

You're going to have to run that one over for me again. What sort of blood are we talking about?

[ he means, you know, the on the scene blood guy. stiles is pretty interested in forensics — but trying to ask if dexter can give him a rundown isn't actually why he's replying. he wants to know about blood in a wholly different reqpect. ]
I have a weird question. Uh, so, I donate blood sometimes. For the ... guys with "odd nutritional needs", since you're euphemisming right around that. Do you keep, like, records? Of who drinks whose?

[ Dexter runs his hand across his head thoughtfully. Really, most of the time it's sort of no questions asked, but that doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence in them, now, does it? ]
I could definitely have a go finding out. Is there a problem?

My wife may be able to give you some recipes? Mostly Portuguese pastries. They're better than donuts when it comes to apologies, I promise.

[ Dexter's mind goes somewhere else, and the sudden surge of emotion really catches him off guard. Rita. And then he's back, focusing a little. ]
Better than donuts might be overselling them. You absolutely sure?

And that depends on how bad you want to be forgiven.

And this is going to sound really arrogant and I'm apologizing in advance, but a lot of the people who aren't already out aren't going to jump at the the chance on the implication it's medbay or murder.
