006 ☀ video ☀ FORWARD-DATED to a few minutes POST-JUMP end

[ There are a few things everyone might notice about this video post. One is that there's no way Jaye could have gotten from the medbay to the kitchen on the 001 passenger floor this quickly. Two is that her hair looks both dirtier and longer than usual, and instead of either happily mussed or neatly groomed, it's just a complete mess. Three is that, judging by the way Jaye sort of seems to be wobbling back and forth on the floor and has burst capillaries in her face, she was just rather sick and might be so again. Likewise, anyone who looked around before or after the jump may have noticed that Jaye wasn't there -- didn't go down, didn't go into the gravity couches, and that Faith Lehane was looking after her animals. ]

So. [ Her voice is hoarse, quiet, and the rasp is completely new and sounds painful –- in fact, she has to pause, clearing her throat for a moment. It doesn't go away completely, but she's a bit louder, at least. ] I-- [ and she winces ] sat out during the jump as an insect. Don’t do that. It was a month. Everything was red, copper and salt, until it ended.

[ It hurts to talk, and Jaye takes a moment to rub at her throat. ] Want a shower, food.

[ She pauses, glancing away from the camera for a moment. Her eyes aren’t exactly wet, and maybe it's from her earlier vomiting, but either way... ] Missed you guys. [ And she cuts the feed. ]

((ooc: MCU!Tony will be getting her from the kitchen and carrying her down to medical. Her replies will probably come from after she's there and probably be in text form. If your character wants to go visit her there (or fuss at her or whatever), I'd be up for it, but be warned that she's having a bit of a hard time talking at the moment and will set Faith on you if she feels shitty.

Also someone might want to clean up the 001 kitchen. ))

[ it's an odd relationship and Kane almost wants to yell, cut the crap Jaye. Because seriously. How you deal with the trauma of whatever went on with the fog and stuff is not by spending a month alone. He makes his way towards her on the bed. ]

Move over. [ placing the food on the table next to it. ]

[ It was planned before the fog. It was planned, it was something she'd thought about and considered the risks of, and that's what no one gets or brushes right past. She'd known she wasn't going to die but no one listens.

No one ever listens.

She moves over. ]

[ he flops down on the bed with her. doesn't ask her to talk knowing that it must hurt. she said they messed around before, so he'd give her a smooch on the forehead if she and he were at a state more comfortable. but they aren't. their last conversation ended on weird terms. so he skips the verbals. offers his arm, just in case she wants to lean back against him. ]

[ She wants every bit of contact she can get right now. It's easy to ignore the way their last conversation went, easy to press into his side and lean into him. He smells familiar enough, feels familiar enough, and she makes herself comfortable. ]

[ he's hoping the month of space-isolation is enough to fix that blip in their relationship. but kane tucks her under his chin, because right now she needs a friend and he figures - its what other he would do and he owes it to himself to take care of her.

he doesn't get close to a lot of people. builds up walls where he can and jaye managed to find a way to trespass and climb over it. so yeah that knowledge - it's enough. ]

So - I'm assuming this is the worst hang over ever?

[ It might be. It's certainly fine for now, Jaye focusing on the fact that he's there instead of anything else.

She can't help her slight laugh, even if it sounds just as hoarse as her voice. ]

No headache. I'd take that over the leg issue though.

[ he is. he'd be there even if she didn't ask. he might not be HER kane, but he still is kane and in some weird messed up way he owes to himself. ]

I'd take you without injury over all of that. Do I wanna ask who's bright idea was that?

[ She didn't ask him to come in the first place. It says something that he's here anyway. ]

Mm. No. [ Because she won't tell even if he does. ]
