006 ☀ video ☀ FORWARD-DATED to a few minutes POST-JUMP end

[ There are a few things everyone might notice about this video post. One is that there's no way Jaye could have gotten from the medbay to the kitchen on the 001 passenger floor this quickly. Two is that her hair looks both dirtier and longer than usual, and instead of either happily mussed or neatly groomed, it's just a complete mess. Three is that, judging by the way Jaye sort of seems to be wobbling back and forth on the floor and has burst capillaries in her face, she was just rather sick and might be so again. Likewise, anyone who looked around before or after the jump may have noticed that Jaye wasn't there -- didn't go down, didn't go into the gravity couches, and that Faith Lehane was looking after her animals. ]

So. [ Her voice is hoarse, quiet, and the rasp is completely new and sounds painful –- in fact, she has to pause, clearing her throat for a moment. It doesn't go away completely, but she's a bit louder, at least. ] I-- [ and she winces ] sat out during the jump as an insect. Don’t do that. It was a month. Everything was red, copper and salt, until it ended.

[ It hurts to talk, and Jaye takes a moment to rub at her throat. ] Want a shower, food.

[ She pauses, glancing away from the camera for a moment. Her eyes aren’t exactly wet, and maybe it's from her earlier vomiting, but either way... ] Missed you guys. [ And she cuts the feed. ]

((ooc: MCU!Tony will be getting her from the kitchen and carrying her down to medical. Her replies will probably come from after she's there and probably be in text form. If your character wants to go visit her there (or fuss at her or whatever), I'd be up for it, but be warned that she's having a bit of a hard time talking at the moment and will set Faith on you if she feels shitty.

Also someone might want to clean up the 001 kitchen. ))

It's fine, I can take it. [ There's a grunt when Tony gets up, but thankfully he looks like he's steady on his feet so Jaye should be fine. ] Doctors are dumb, for the record. Not all of them but the ones kind of like we have here who are a little too high and mighty for my taste, you know.

Still, there's a floor for him at my house for when he gets his ass back on Midgard and shit. [ He almost wishes Thor was here, because then that's his entire team. The Avengers would be here and it'd be perfect in a certain way. ]

She shouldn't laugh about taking it. [ A beat. ] I know. I'm just— if there was another option, I'd take you to it. And I'd like to maybe make sure you're fine.

I liked him. Reminded me of home. Sif, too. If he comes back and doesn't remember, put in a word for me? [ She's not sure why she's asking, why she's making herself talk to Tony when it hurts to do so, when her voice sounds like hell even to herself. ]

Maybe it was a reassurance. [ She'd shrug if she weren't, you know, being carried. ] I'm fine. Shift side-effects from being in one form for so long, 's all.

As if I'd do anything but. [ There's a pause. ] And be careful around Loki. The one, at least from my world, isn't exactly a nice guy. That was who we were fighting. Thor and I. [ He understands why, because he's been there, where it hurts to talk or focus, but you do because it's what you want and what you feel like you need to. ]

If she said it and the guy had a tiny dick he'd feel bad. [ There's an eyeroll from Tony that he's thankful she can't see. ] I don't doubt that, but what's the longest you've stayed shifted before this?

[ She doesn't know why she's telling Tony that, either. Maybe because part of her is more afraid than she's letting on, because she's been without anyone for a month and Tony is there, her first actual physical contact and solid and real. ]

Better prove he can use it, then. [ A hum. ] Continuously? Dunno. Never counted. And if Coyote was there it was different.

[ The thing is, Tony can't even really begrudge her for doing this because if the positions had been reversed, he knows that there wouldn't be a real verbal mouth filter with him. Though somewhere inside Tony is feeling itchy and bothered and wrong by how she's doing this with him. Instead of someone else. ]

And if he's better with his tongue? [ ...what. ] How different?

[ Later she'll kick herself for being sentimental, but it won't be as hard as it once was. It'll take her longer than she realizes to stop craving more touch, to stop craving people. ]

[ Tony's hands tighten a bit and there's an exhale like Tony doesn't know why he did that, but it's just something he did. And that's that, isn't it? ]
