( two ) : text & voice
Is it a normal thing here to talk about:
1. dead people
2. killing people
3. what to do about 1 and 2
4. what to do about 3
Not to get on anyone's case, I get that this is a pretty creepy spaceship, but there's been talk of death penalties and airlocking people, I'm just wondering.
[ The next part comes up a bit after the first, mostly as an addendum. He switches to voice for this one, though. ]
—Does anyone know where I can find a washing machine? Do we even have those? My stuff still smells a bit like the blue goo, it's taking a while to get out of the fabric.

There's this werewolf guy, Josh? Have you met him?

Josh has some feelings on the 'welcome to the family' comment, plus the... okay, yeah, consulting werewolf is a bad idea. But he's distracted by the next question. ]
Like now now? What, you want me to cold call him and ask for an invite to your full-moon club? [ ... does that also sound like a weird euphemism? He's not even sure. ]

I was talking to him in between replies, I may have mentioned us. This conversation. Things, there's a lot of campers here in space and it's pretty ridiculous.
And Remus is going to turn soon so it's probably a good thing to talk now, just in case. [ a beat ] I could hold your hand if you're feeling shy.

Except then there's the hand holding comment. Wow rude. ] Yeah, thanks, that's really selfless of you. How soon is soon? [ There's a pause, and when he continues his tone is somber. ] And I can probably give a day's notice. It's... things are a bit different the day before.
[ But back to the Derek thing - he is totally ignoring that at the moment. He doesn't want the guy to think he wants anything to do with this pack business; taking some initiative might give exactly that impression. ]

Subtlety was his dad "having this conversation downstairs".
Bad decisions ahoy, man. ]
I don't know. Do you have anything planned? Work, maybe? [ He says it all dry, but he's also aware there's not much to actually do on the ship. Take that question as you will. ] I don't have anything to do, and Derek's... Derek.
How different is it?
video; private
No, nothing planned. Nothing I can't work around. It's probably better to steer clear unless I need help, though - the fewer wolves in one place the better, right?
But it's - nothing physical. Nothing anyone can see. Things just feel a bit more... raw. [ Kind of like a drug high. A drug high that makes you more aware of your surroundings and prone to aggression. It's one of the things that Josh hates about the shift, so he's reluctant to expand on the details. ]

Like everything is in high definition. Every smell, every taste, every feeling - all of it seems more. Like nothing's going to stop you if you just do it, and it's like there's something inside banging around and yelling to be let out.
That's what it's like, right?
[ Dude. ]
That's what it's like for me every day. I can't even stand being around a garbage can, it stinks so bad, and sometimes everything just pisses you off and you think you can actually—
...Except you do, anyway. [ That one's more to himself, though. That night at the jail cell - Derek didn't really tell him if he killed that hunter or not, but he was still alive when they left. He has to be alive. ] Raw's a good word for it.

His voice is gentler now, sympathetic for once. ]
You said he teaches you control? [ He might be catching on to the point of packs. For wherever Isaac's from, at least. ]

But look, no more depressing feelings. ]
He does. Except for last time, because there were three of us and one of him, and he can't split himself in three ways yet. [ wait ew ] Hopefully he won't.

Yeah, he's got a horrible track record with other wolves. But this is a kid, and he seems genuine enough in the belief that he's helping. The others were... a bit less genuine. That doesn't mean he's not going to pre-judge the crap out of Derek, but he can at least try to be civil. ]
I can see how that would be a problem. You said it's just you and him now? From your... [ World still seems a bit funny to say, so he doesn't quite finish the sentence. ]

[ It's a teenager thing, Josh. Well, mostly. Isaac wouldn't blame Josh for judging Derek anyway, considering that Derek can sometimes be a walking cliche with a heart of gold, but if Josh is going to be nice (nice in Teen Wolf is not kicking a puppy too hard, apparently) then Isaac is not going to ask too many questions. Gift horses and mouths, right? ]
But here, it's me and Derek, and then there's Stiles, Lydia and Allison. [ He checked the network. Oh boy, Allison. He'll leave the Peter deal up to Derek, though, Isaac knows better than to spill on that one. ] Allison's family hunts werewolves, and she shredded me with knives last time we met, so I'd be careful around her. Her dad's okay, though. He has this "code" he lives by.
[ IN OTHER NEWS HE'S KIND OF STILL SORE ABOUT THAT. Sorry, Allison. He'll let it go when you start dating Scott again. ]
