Not to get on anyone's case, I get that this is a pretty creepy spaceship, but there's been talk of death penalties and airlocking people, I'm just wondering.

—Does anyone know where I can find a washing machine? Do we even have those? My stuff still smells a bit like the blue goo, it's taking a while to get out of the fabric.

Yeah, the chatter on the network is a bit more morbid then the norm.
But it honestly just takes a bit to get used to it.
And I wash my clothes by hand.
So if there is a laundry, I haven't found it yet.

talking about dying is normal, everyone has to die at some point. isn't there a time and place for it, though?

I'd resign yourself to the excess creepy around here, it seems to be par for the course. But for the laundry - no idea. We could maybe develop a community laundry scheme.

Where I'm from we try to keep the dying part really low, so I don't know, it's kind of not, beyond the whole "let's not die before we graduate" part.

Is it funny that the creepy part is more normal than the laundry part? A community laundry scheme though, we'd have to look for a washing machine first.

You know anyone who can build one? Space is apparently too cool for a laundromat, what the hell.

People are more than a little unsettled up here, especially if they've been on the ship for a while. Doesn't excuse the talk and security's taking the threats seriously, as far as I know, but it's just something that happens after too long in one area. The best way to deal is let security keep an eye on stuff/let them know if you need help and to try not to engage anyone making death threats. Egging them on could turn the threat into something a little more real.
