Not to get on anyone's case, I get that this is a pretty creepy spaceship, but there's been talk of death penalties and airlocking people, I'm just wondering.

[ The next part comes up a bit after the first, mostly as an addendum. He switches to voice for this one, though. ]

—Does anyone know where I can find a washing machine? Do we even have those? My stuff still smells a bit like the blue goo, it's taking a while to get out of the fabric.

I am not sure how to answer your list, [ yes he got to using his headphones for text-to-voice stuff ] but if you do find a washing machine type area, pass it along, will you? I have a thing for laundromats, I've met some of the best people there.

I have no idea. I'm assuming it's from being cooped up for so long and clashing personalities, but it's only a guess.

And I've been handwashing my stuff. Pretty easy when you've only got one outfit.

Someone found you a text-to-audio converter? I dicked around on the phone thing, didn't seem like there was one pre-installed. [ a beat ] I got lost looking for a washing machine, too. The kitchens were way easier to find, man.

[ He nods at the question. ] Someone did, it helps a lot. With the braille buttons and my headphones from home, it's almost like being fully functional again.

Handwashing sucks, sorry to hear that. I've got a small load of clothes though, I'd really rather not handwash. [ Teenagers, they're so lazy. ] So, wait, you didn't come in with an extra change of clothes?

Er-- beyond that, though, yes, that's rather typical. Though not always; conversations rather range on here.

Well, I have the jumpsuit, but for actual clothes, only a shirt and a skirt.

It is. And the ease of how people throw it around is disturbing. I don't like it and I'm hoping things don't get too heated. [So heated that somebody legit gets airlocked.]

[ Conversations with Isaac is a bit like stop-and-go at first, mostly because he scrambles for the boundaries of where he's allowed and not allowed to go. I haven't met many other Augusts either actually. I'm glad to be your first then.

[Despite himself, he laughs.]

I don't think we will. I know Nklaus can control his cycles, only transforming whenever he wants-- and I know Mason and I are on different cycles, because I think it follows whatever calendar you were on when you were at home. So you and Derek and Peter will probably change at the same time, but beyond that.

Maybe it's like when you hang out with someone long enough, and you just want to punch them in the face. Still, though.

[ He's had moments like those before. He tries not to have them now, seeing as how he can actually end up killing them if he loses control. ]

I came in with my school stuff. Well, some of it - I got my lacrosse jersey and glove with me, but no stick or ball.

[ It's not great, it's pretty nerve-wracking. He wants to be done with this part of adolescence, thanks. ]

Maybe Josh too, we talked about lunar cycles a while back. There's a synching-up joke somewhere in this, I'm pretty sure.

I'd be alright with that, I actually don't know how to get there so killing two birds with one stone -- exploration! The key to anyone's space adventure.

[ Isaac's probably never going to understand why Auggie would think that's a thought-stopping thing to say. Anyway, moving on. ]

Remus showed me where it is - he's a friend, you should meet him - so I think I won't get us too lost if we go.

The solution to that is to stop hanging out with them, not toss them to the Milky Way.

At least you can wear the jersey. I can't help much with the glove, though, sorry.

Are we even in the Milky Way? I don't know about stars, but I think we're Deep Space Nine-ing it as far as star systems go.
