ALAYNE STONE ♕ SANSA STARK
13 May 2012 @ 09:17 am
[ The camera comes on and here is Alayne Stone (yes, the same Alayne Stone that supposedly bled all over her bedroom floor when demons still ran amok on the Tranquility). To her credit, she's looking much better (much more healthy than she probably has any right to be). But that's the beside the point.

The camera comes on and here is Alayne Stone and she dips, giving the same perfunctory bow that she is known to give upon greeting. Though an effort has made to make herself look tidy, her brow is pinched with worry. Her words are quick and, often, she looks off camera at something out of sight.
]

My good Tranquility, [ she says in greeting, her clip not terse per say, but approaching it. ] I am looking for a man. I— I do not know his name, but should he see my face he will remember our acquaintance.

Twice now he has come to my aid. [ He avenged my death. He gave me a terrible knife. ] And— and I find myself in need of his aid once again. [ A pause and then, squaring her shoulders, she looks into the camera and says simply (as if it were directly to the man in question). ] It is a matter of wolves. Please— [ She is about to entreat him, but thinks better of it. (He does not seem the type to be swayed by begging.) ] —do not remain silent. I know you watch and listen.

I will eagerly await your word. [ A pause and then Alayne dips again, more awkwardly this time (she wishes she could say more). ] —thank you.

Alright everyone calm the fuck down.

[easier said than done, but the command (military, a bellow without being a bellow) with which Jason says it over the network might (he hopes) be enough to get the attention of at least a couple of people.]

The ship has been hit with a batch of Fear Toxin. [he drawls it, irritation, and a very clear I'm looking at you Scarecrow.] Don't ask how it got there because we don't know yet, but it's concentrated around the Oxygen Garden. Basically this means we've got people hallucinating and attacking each other because they're scared out of their minds and if we don't get control of it sooner rather than later someone's gonna die. If you've got a gas mask or a rebreather, you might wanna put that baby on.

So- [you can practically hear the gesticulation in his voice, despite there being no video] Titans Assemble or whatever.

Eridan Ampora
[Eridan actually doesn't sound particularly freaked out or upset; just the usual minor irritation that he usually voices whenever he addresses the network in voice mode. Of course, he's also actually sounding somewhat more serious than usual, which may or may not be surprising.]

I'm gettin' really fuckin' sick'a people fuckin' wwith me right noww, so basically - oh, hold on. If you're in a serious situation wwhere there are vvoices in your head, or you think you're gonna die, or that you're bein' hunted by somethin' or wwhatevver, this isn't a message for you, so keep... bein' freaked out. I mean, you can listen if you wwant, but I'm basically gonna say you're crazy, an' I don't think you're gonna like that, so.

[He waits a tick, then continues full tilt,] I'm fuckin' sick'a people fuckin' wwith me, an' to be honest this jump has so far been the fuckin' wworst, so here's wwhat I'm proposin'. If someone looks like they're about to go around blowwin' somethin' up, hurtin' themselvves or someone else, or anythin' that looks mildly suspicious'a bein' fuckin' crazy, get them into a room wwithout any one else in there an' lock 'em the fuck in. It's not gonna be pretty for them but at least they wwon't be runnin' around causin' panic.

An' then, also, if someone wwould like to go ahead an' come forwward an' tell us this is their fault, maybe wwe could punch you a couple times an' call it a day. [Not even close, if someone tells him they started this fire he is going to throw them out an airlock, but whatever. THE POINT IS he wants to know who did this.]

This is basically me, as a member'a security, tellin' evveryone to not be crazy an' also to not... you knoww, beat the shit outta someone on account'a them bein' crazy. I think that's a fair fuckin' request to make, right?

jenna sommers and elena gilbert are- they're dead.

i- i know more people knew jenna than elena but they're both dead. near the oxygen garden. so i just- everyone needed to know and now you do.

[ it's short and to the point, if only because ric doesn't entirely trust himself to say much else. it's the same reason he choose text over voice or video. this proclamation is hard enough to get out right now and speaking coherently is a bit beyond his reach. ]

Isaac Clarke

[He's slipping. He's slipping and he isn't sure why and he hasn't been able to get onto the network... or so he thinks. He's been there, but he hasn't really been able to make sense of anything and holy shit he just talked about this not to long ago and stop stop stop stop stop.]

[And it's with that kind of urgency that the screen flickers on and a man in a full-on armored suit seems to blink at the screen. His body language reads nothing but panic and he needs to tell someone. He needs-]

They're here.

[His voice is trembling, aching with disbelief but he knows they're there, he seems to be almost trying to whisper, but it's not coming across as such.]

Saw them, in Engineering. Things I told you all about, things I warned you about. The Necromorphs, I don't know how-

[His head snaps up, hearing something offscreen... or appearing to. He peeks around a nearby corner, a hand moving to shush the camera.]

I saw them. They didn't see me, not yet. If they know I'm here, it'll go bad. Really bad. But I have to - I have to show you.

[He takes sharp breaths, slowly peeking his way around the corner, positioning the device so it can see around the corner-]

[...And there's clearly nothing there. Not even signs of something having walked passed.]

[It jerks back quickly, concentrating on the massked face known as Isaac, who seems to be staring intently at the screen.]

You saw it, right? Well, that isn't everything, I think she's - no, she's not here, she's dead, it's here. It's here -as- her. They're going to try to talk to me, I know it. But I can't let it, oh no. Tricked one too many times.

Remember, you cut off their limbs, they'll bleed out, become unable to move, and then you can stomp them out. Watch the vents. Watch out, just, be safe.

[Annnd the feed cuts.]

[OOC: OKAY OBVIOUSLY there aren't any actual Necromorphs on the ship, Scarecrow's Fear Gas has just managed to cause a pretty bad insanity relapse in Isaac's held-together-with-tape-and-prayer brain. You are free to call him out on this, but don't expect him to believe you. Physical interactions will happen in the Fear Gas log here!]

[ The video comes on to show a... wall. It's a nice wall. One of the passenger room walls, pretty plain. Then Aragorn turns it around.

He's sitting at the edge of the bed and almost literally covered in blood. It's even more obvious because his shirt is gone - the top half of his jumpsuit is torn into pieces, and blood covers the left side of his chest. Half of the shredded rags from his jumpsuit are in his handss, and he's wrapping them slowly around his shoulder. That's where all the blood is coming from. It looks to be slowing down, though.

The other half is bound around the wrists and ankles of the man on the bed. Those who have met him when he first came would recognise Errol Partridge, dressed in his heavy Cleric's uniform. He's unconscious, but it's not an easy sleep - his head shifts from side to side, and half-formed words escape his lips.

Aragorn is entirely calm as he fixes his eyes on the camera. ]

I need athelas. In the Common Tongue of my world, it is named kingsfoil. It is a small shrub with dark green leaves and white flowers. The oxygen garden is too dangerous to enter right now, but if there are any who have a few leaves, I will be grateful.

[ He inclines his head towards the camera. ]

Thank you. [ He grabs hold of one of his makeshift bandages with his teeth and pulls it tight around his shoulder before he reaches out and switches off the video. ]
