Does there exist documentation or any record concerning the use or effects of magic on the ship? I am interested in notation on repeated instances of magic during menial or daily activities as well as during times of flux as has recently passed, irrelevant to 'type' or origin of said magic.

I have perused the informational guide as well as backread through the network but this technology is not in use where I am from; I am unsure if I have missed anything due to unfamiliarity with the interface.

I do not believe that there is such a thing as "magic." However, I can give you my impressions of the use of superhuman abilities aboard the ship.

I fear that is the best I can do; no official records are kept.

What mean you by magic? I have not heard the word used twice to mean the same thing.

In my case it is the manipulation of the world around me through my will alone and sometimes involving spellcraft or the use of focusing items, varying degrees of it learned over time through work and study. Where I am from it is an ability a person is born with, and different beings use magic in different ways, like many people entering a house and all using different keys and doors.

I've been looking into this and I tried to get some of the more science-minded among us to come up with a way to measure magic or to see how much is being used, but I've had no luck with it.

Quite, it is deeply aggravating that all reality-bending abilities are curbed to that degree, but my inquiry has a broader aim than that specific problem.

It'd be nice if there were some sort of consensus here, at least, as to what's real and what's not. Especially as I guess I actually can't soundly declare that magic isn't real where I'm from to a gaggle of people discussing how they'd never talk about it where they're from.

It seems effects on the ship itself are limited by the desires of whatever force holds us captive, whether or not you like following along those sorts of theories. Interactions within the walls are largely untouched, in my experience.

[ Severus is already assuming a rather wide margin for inaccuracy given that everything offered in this post is anecdotal, so lying about something won't really have any effect. Unless doing so just makes Loki happy, in which case the world is yours, man. ]
