Does there exist documentation or any record concerning the use or effects of magic on the ship? I am interested in notation on repeated instances of magic during menial or daily activities as well as during times of flux as has recently passed, irrelevant to 'type' or origin of said magic.

I have perused the informational guide as well as backread through the network but this technology is not in use where I am from; I am unsure if I have missed anything due to unfamiliarity with the interface.

Perhaps not. This place is certainly large enough to hold any number of skeletons, physical and proverbial.

I've experimented-- I experiment still. Golems will not serve my purpose; I've a need of beings with will, albeit will that may be molded and directed by my hand and at my whim. I have played this game before, perhaps many times, and each time improve. Change the rules and the players-- discard that which cannot fit.

I want my pawns to move of their own accord. I want to go a certain place, to do a certain thing, but I cannot if they won't choose it.

I am impatient-- my tools, expendable. I will push too hard where another might draw back and wait.

Do you push against that other, testing the solidity of the rules? Is it a child's learning, or the goading of competition?

Not a child's, no-- but neither a consciousness driven by too mortal wants. No, I am something canny and alien; perhaps I discard tools I don't understand the use of with those I've broken.

Sometimes you misplace them. You've been experimenting for so long that sometimes something gets lost in the cracks. You are nearly omnipotent in your form but you were not always this way, to be able to miss even a small thing.

Perhaps it's in my cruelty that I betray a temperament you would call childish; I am petty, and magnanimous only to underscore my power.

I want to control free will-- I want to subjugate by compelling those under my power to chose to be there. My acceptance of my limitations is an attempted sophistry; I seek always to undermine the spirit while following the letter.
