Since I've only just arrived and it seems there's a lot to learn around here, I'm hoping someone out there can answer a couple of questions for me. Just simple ones right now, really.

What do you all do for fun, in your leisure time? Is there a library, or games? Darts, pool table, that sort of thing maybe?

And, um...I know there's been a little talk about it, but is there any alcohol on board? And if so, is it available for public consumption or do I have to beg someone for a drink or two?

[Blake's got a rare moment of PR helpfulness going on, and actually decides to show his face this time.]

A couple of people have started a lending library, though the selection is pretty limited right now. There's also a holodeck, and a gym available for general use. I'm working on starting up some basketball, or maybe one or two other sports if people have preferences. There's also a regular fight club if that's more your thing.

There's a bar, with alcohol, though some people seem to have issues with the quality of it.

Oh, that could interesting! The lending library, I mean. I haven't anything to contribute but I'll definitely take advantage of what other people might have. Not really a gym or sports kind of girl, though I guess if there's a firing range I might check it out. I'd watch if the sports folks wanted a cheering section, though.

There's no firing range that I'm aware of right now, but you're welcome to show up to the basketball club as a spectator when I do it. Don't expect anything professional, though. A lot of the participants are learning how to play for the first time.

I've been hearing rumors about how 'not the best' the alcohol is here. I guess so long as it's not unbearable it'll be all right. Is it too much to hope there's decent beer at least?

I'd tell you there's a bar, but it seems other people have pretty much covered that part.

As for fun, there could definitely be more of it on the ship. But there's the oxygen room, which is kind of like a giant park, and a few other places around.

From what I hear, the quality of the product is a little questionable. Maybe we can get some botany-minded people together and see if they can produce something better.

I can understand why people might not feel inclined to think about having fun, but everyone needs a break once in a while. Giant park sounds like a good start, I bet it's peaceful.
