Hey all, Kirk here.

We've been up here for about a week, ship's time, which probably seems like forever and no time at all for most of you. Trust me when I say that probably won't change much. I know a lot of you are still panicking, but we need to keep in mind that the only way we're going to get out of this situation safely is by staying calm.

Anyone still adjusting to their human body should remember to stop by medical. A week is more than long enough to mess yourself up, even if you know what you're doing. [his tone says, trust me, i've been there.]

If the internal clock is anything to go by, we'll arrive at Tansei Station in about 12 days. I know we don't have much with us, but if you're thinking you need something, you might want to consider what you can barter when we get there. There's no telling when our next chance at shore leave will happen again.

[here, Jim glances away, keying something in, and anyone who expressed interest to Resnik and Ward in their broadcast concerning data collection will get a ping before he goes on.]

I've managed to get the chronometer back online, but she won't give me anything outside of a 24 hour count. [so no stardates or the equivalent thereof.] I've been trying to pull up a map of this place for the passed 78 hours but it's like the damn thing never existed in the first place. I'm starting to wonder if a blueprint was even put in the databanks.

Hey guys, anyone have updates on that theory we had going?
Or an idea of how to get some private communication set up? I don't know about you, but I'm starting to doubt how safe these encryptions are if the computer system is smiling at our resident technopaths.

Ever wonder if those maps were maybe corrupted on purpose so that something would eat the file out of the system? I've been mulling over the idea that some foul play might have occurred prior to our arrival.

It's possible.

I couldn't find anything resembling a virus in there, but it's not unlike navigating an asteroid belt so I could have missed it.

What lead you to that conclusion?

The only remaining members of the crew are lost, alone, and with no information to help us. If they're to be believed and are genuine when they say they have no idea what went on, it's always possible that someone was doing something they shouldn't have and weren't very keen on keeping them in the loop.

It doesn't explain the missing passengers and crew, but it would explain the missing information.

[there's a long pause, as Jim considers this possibility. finally:]

... Damn.

[the thought that not only was this an accident, but they could have been pulled into some kind of political or civil disrupt wasn't exactly the most uplifting of theories.]

[She smiles a little.]

My thoughts exactly.

[The last thing she wants is for any of them to be caught up in someone else's fight, especially when it leads to complications like an entire ship of crewmen going missing.]

It might just be a conspiracy theory, but when I spoke with Resnik briefly, she didn't seem very pleased when I mentioned it. She said they didn't know.

I don't think anyone would like to be accused of that.

[still, it's an interesting reaction, one that Jim takes note of.]

But if it did, and they don't know, then it's always possible the amnesia we all suffered upon arrival could be more than just a stasis side effect.

[there's a subtle tension in his voice that quietly hints sabotage without being outright.]

No, of course not. But if they have evidence that someone's messing with them to make life harder for them, it'd benefit everyone if we knew about it.

[And what he says is a chilling thought.]

That better not be the case.

They might really not know.

[Jim lifts one hand and pinches the bridge of his nose. there's still too much they don't know and it's- both frustrating and headache inducing.]

I'll keep trying.

They might not. But they might have an inkling of who would.

[That's why she's not sure she can trust them.]

Have you spoken to them at length?

Working on it.

[it's a short response, but he figures she's smart enough to figure out that he's having this conversation with them right now. Jim isn't sure they can trust them either, after all.]

[She smiles.]

How much of the ship have you explored so far?

Comparatively, I don't think I've explored very much. I haven't seen the Oxygen Gardens, yet, but everyone says they're impressive.

The shuttle bay is huge.
