Hello, everyone--I regret to be the one to point this out.

[ A beat--she's worryingly playing with the paper bow tie she's made ever since the Doctor disappeared, and with a lick of her lips she's speaking again, eyes darting down to something on her lap. ]

It's funny. This list--it's amused. Laughing at us. I don't--I don't like it. And that's not everyone on the list. It's a fraction of it.

But the laughter. It's ringing in my ears and they're so, so, giddy.

Spock thinks of his father, who expects him to be completely Vulcan, whom he has disappointed in his commitment to join Starfleet, whom he remains wholly conflicted with. of his brother, whom he has not seen in many years, who rejects the society to which Spock has wanted so desperately to have acceptance from. of his mother, who he could not reconcile his love and shame for, and now, it is too late for either.

his eyes close, and he permits each of them to exist there, for only a fraction of a moment. a trinity of individuals who have shaped him, and continue to leave him at odds with himself. you are neither human nor Vulcan, and therefore have no place in this universe. ]
