[ A bit of silence, and the sound of someone clearing his throat.
Guess who finally decided to stop lurking? Thiiiis guy. ]
-- Can I say one thing, about the final frontier?
I thought it was supposed to be a little grander than this. [ THOUGHTFUL PAUSE. ] More lights, you know, and perhaps more windows in the ship so we could actually see things.
But as a measure of curiosity, show of hands, how many of us are just from good old Earth? Been to the moon and not much further, that sort of thing? Because an awful lot of you seem very at home on a bloody spaceship, and I'm feeling a little left out.

2010 for me as well. Seems we have something in common.

Also, you would not likely see very much, even if there were windows. Space is, after all, simply a vacuum, where the closest objects are usually many hundreds of thousands of kilometers away.
[ voice ]
Just thought it'd be nice for livening up the décor. [ Pause, and. ] I take it you're not one of those people from plain old Earth I was hoping for?

A fellow earth dweller, much displaced and not aware of much space activity besides the moon. I liked my fair share of science fiction when I was younger, but living it doesn't quite have the same allure.
( voice ) NO VIDEO FOR ANYONE
I was never that big fan of science fiction, so living it really doesn't appeal to me much.
And yet, here we are. Somehow I doubt much care was taken for our preferences.
( video ) BUT SUCH A CHARMING VOICE SURELY HAS A HANDSOME FACE...
( voice ) exceedingly handsome. too handsome for your screen.
( video ) goodness, that would certainly touch at oxford's curiosity
( voice ) until then he'll have to make do with imagination
( video ) well he certainly isn't lacking in that
( voice ) imagine the most dashing man in the world

Sorry, can't help you. There's a few Earths where I'm from, but... Howling Earth. Silent Earth. Not plain old earth and not a moon, either. There seem to be quite a number of 'Earthlings,' as it were, on board. I suspect it's a favourable planet in many dimensions.
[ voice ] srynovideo
For some reason, whoever or whatever brought us here does have certain biases.
How can there be multiple Earths?
