[ A bit of silence, and the sound of someone clearing his throat.

Guess who finally decided to stop lurking? Thiiiis guy. ]

-- Can I say one thing, about the final frontier?

I thought it was supposed to be a little grander than this. [ THOUGHTFUL PAUSE. ] More lights, you know, and perhaps more windows in the ship so we could actually see things.

But as a measure of curiosity, show of hands, how many of us are just from good old Earth? Been to the moon and not much further, that sort of thing? Because an awful lot of you seem very at home on a bloody spaceship, and I'm feeling a little left out.

[ a moment of silence, realizing just what she seriously overlooked. DAMMIT! ]

Yeah. No. I didn't. So you don't have to go any further on that.

As far as the man that looks like Fischer. Well, I just don't know what to make of it. He looks far too much like him. Who's to say the inception didn't screw things up in him? [ its happened before. ]

Who knows how much inception can change a person. But -- Fischer has his mentalities, his mannerisms. We made use of his naïveté and need for approval from his father, to begin with, and this man is nothing like that.

But we'll just have to wait and see. There's not a lot we can do here, for now.

Perhaps. But was Mal...[ she stops then, shutting up on that. she wont get into it with you eames, it's not going to help matters any anyway. ]

I was never Cobb's friend, Ariadne. I knew Mal about as well as you do.

[ probably less! ]

I'm talking to our maybe-Fischer as we speak. We'll see.

I've been looking around, on my own. And I would appreciate it, Ariadne -- [ he maanges to sound fairly kind, but well ] -- if you didn't refer to me by name in public.

[ a brief moment of silence was heard on ariadne's end, before she let out a low sigh, speaking mater-a-factly: ] I'm just saying; Mal changed after her inception. Who's to say Fischer didn't take his and twist it around.

Just keep an eye on him. I'm worried something went wrong on his end.

[ a second later, it's ariadne looking into the screen. her expression more curious then anything. (perhaps there is a slightly annoyance to it too. perhaps) ]

You want me to act like I don't know you? [ which could be an insult slightly. ] Or is there a name you are already going by?

[ Well maybe for you, but he won't give in so quickly. ]

Joseph. For now.

I'm just saying we have to be careful here, love. Who knows what this is, who might be listening. [ A pause, and almost in afterthought; ] Best not to mention dreaming much, either.

[ Eames doesn't trust Ariadne, just yet, though if he does readily admit her capabilities. But she's young, new, in over her head, and she honestly isn't his problem but he's not looking to antagonize her either, especially since he knows Arthur will insist on keeping you around.

There's a slight pause, and he sighs -- and when he speaks again his voice is a touch kinder, implying that he's just a little stressed out from waking up on a spaceship and all that rot. He doesn't mean to doubt you.

Or, you know, he does. ]

I'll keep an eye on our maybe-Fischer.

Don't worry about it.

[ rolling her eyes slightly as she nods in understanding. she should have assumed he would have an alias - even here. ] Joe it is. [ she flashes the screen a small smile then, letting out a small sigh. ]

I haven't told anyone what we do per se, you know I wouldn't, right? Vaguely alluding to dreams in general shouldn't cause alarm -- but I'll be cautious.

[ again she nods, staring at the screen, knowing he can see her. (seeing him would be nice.) ] Have you found your room?

[ He's said his piece about not saying too much shit and not using his name, he's done there, girl. Caution above all, and anything else will be Arthur's problem. ]

Yes. Dismal thing. Generous, given the circmstances, but dismal.

You? [ listen to him being all concerned to your welfare ] Settling in alright?

[ way to pawn her off on other, eames. she didn't know she was someone that needed to be pawned around. good thing she is just going to be smart about things. ]

Yeah. [ it's a room. she can't complain she supposes. ]

The three of us should meet. Try to come up with a plan. [ YES EAMES, she is part of the team, LIKE IT OR NOT! ]

[ It's every man for himself in this line of work, baby. Something that you don't seem to understand yet -- and that's exactly why he'd rather not work with you.

And no you are not part of the team!! You need to be voted in or something!!! ]

A plan? [ Hm hm hm, Ari. ] What sort of thing do you have in mind?

[ WOW. thanks for caring. :| obviously she isn't about to give up yet. she hasn't gotten to where she was without a little determination.

caught your interest, did i? figures ] Why not try to find out just what kind of people we are dealing with here? [ a beat ] People might be willing to talk to someone who appears to just be naturally curious about them all. [ someone like her. she can do this. she has faith in this. ]

[ Oh, no, she's very willful. And smart. Just inexperienced, and Eames doesn't actively dislike her or anything, he's just not willing to risk that.

That's not much of a plan, Ari!! ]

Already working on that.

[ But you know one thing he does know you're good for? That giant brain. Eames has his theories about what might be happening here, Arthur seems to be at least somewhat considering the same options, but it might be worthwhile hearing your opinion.

And then maybe discarding it completely. But look, it's progress. He pauses briefly, and sighs, glancing away from the camera for a second, his tone genuine and slightly worried. ]

What do you think is going on here, Ariadne?

[ oh look, ariadne might be smiling slightly wider then as she looks at you eames. IT'S NICE TO SEE YOU.

and it's a start. what do you want from her? she is on a ship in space apparently. ] Do you think people are just going to open up to some many they dont know? [ a look in challenge. ] I'd think someone that looks slightly lost and in need of a friend, might just get more to open up. [ or so she hopes. she is banking on her looks right now. ]

It's worth a shot after all. Finding out the types of people on this ship, might give us a better understanding with the personalities we need to work with.

[ she sighed then, rubbing at the back of her neck as she leaned forward slightly closer to the camera. ]

I'm not sure we're in limbo. If we were, things would be a bit different. We'd be able to control things more. I can't do anything here - I've tried. [ a small frown spread across her face then, as she sounded more disappointed then anything by that. ]

The only thing I can figure, somewhere between the kick and LA something happened, and now we're in someone’s dream. What they want with us, I haven't figured out yet.
