mark i suit ❦ [ text ]
[ tony, unlike some people, likes observing individuals first before he says anything. there's nothing like making a fantastic entrance because you know what's going on while other people don't. it makes you look smart. technically tony supposes he doesn't need any help in that department, but it never hurts to be the observer first. right now he's a little annoyed because no one is actually being helpful in the way he wants them to be. everyone has forced his hand into asking a question, just to make sure he's not going end up writing them down wrong on his IDIOTS TRAPPED WITH ME ON THIS SHIP list. and yes, he's going to write it down and no, you cannot see it. ]
Show of hands or text or whatever, how many of you have some sort of specialty back home? Those of you who raised your hand, you should share with class what that is. I'd like to not hear about the things that are completely useless, but I know some of you will tell me then anyway. This is just a general survey question before I ask the real one, because I'm just one of those curious types.
[ or something like that. shush, again, it's for the stupid list he's making. don't judge him. ]
The real question, by the way, was how many of you are planning on looking around the ship, you know alone. Or...with a buddy, if you're that inclined to do that.

To be honest, typing seems to be the main problem at this point. Otherwise, I believe I am adequately adept. Wheatley, on the other hand... [There's a pause, less like he's trying to hold back a sigh and more like he's considering his words.] He is trying, and to be fair, he was much quicker to learn how to talk and emote than I was. Legs are surprisingly difficult to get a handle on. Of.
And yes, because it would be rather careless, but more than that, I would prefer to have someone with me in case I run into trouble due to my not being incredibly dexterous.

wheatley reminds me of a baby's first AI with the legs. i get that people make different ones and that i clearly seem to be the only one who likes programming them to if they ever end up being in a body, potentially robotic or human, that i kind of want them to move around. [ is it so hard to get an AI around here who reminds him of how cool JARVIS is? clearly yes. ] i just hate incompetent ones, okay. and they're not that bad, just remember to move them up and down.
...see now that's the worst excuse. because you can't open some things, but other people just want the company.

You have to remember that, for us, operating the various muscles in order to propel ourselves forward at a pace that will not send us toppling over is something we are still very unused to. I can understand it being considered incompetence, but all the same, please try to be sympathetic.
Also, I am programmed - was programmed, I suppose - to be social, so company on its own would never be particularly unwanted. I'm simply being pragmatic about the situation. That, and lately, there seem to be far too many people around for me to be properly comfortable.
