TEXT | SHERLOCK | CASE OO1

BORED!
Give me work. Give me problems.
My mind rebels against this stagnation.
Give me a puzzle. Or mystery.
Either will do.
Just. Give. Me. Something. To. Solve. Tranquility.
I need the mental stimulation before I result
to drinking the liquid from the grav pouches.

SH.

[ That seems to pull Capa from whatever slugishness there is to this thoughts. It's not reverie — no, it's not near as pleasant or as whimsical to be called that — but it's not particularly helpful either.

What makes you think there'll be another wave?

[ there is plenty he could site, in reality. beyond simple human suspicion the fact of the matter is that the captain and commander of this vessel have yet to determine the reason this influx has occurred at all. only the vague awareness and yet unconfirmed possibility that their appearances are connected to a malfunction in the tranquility's warp drive hover over their heads. just as close and just as silent, is the knowledge that this technology will be used again.

instead, spock's hands slide together in his lap. fingers steepled in a gesture that is as delicate as it is precise. ]

The absence of proof isn't proof of absence, Capa.
