001 ♗ video
[ Hey Ataraxion, have one obviously annoyed, slightly frustrated, small brunette currently looking into what she assumes is the camera of the device in front of her. She’s only been here for a couple of hours, and already she thinks this is some convoluted dream – she just hasn’t figured out whose yet.
Brow furrowed, she lets out a long sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck before finally speaking to the screen. ] So it seems I'm not alone here. [ Which is a good thing, right? (or so she hopes) ] Yet none of you seem to have any real answers.
[ It’s not annoyance in her voice then, more sympathetic perhaps. (She feels your frustrations, okay?) A small smile ghosts across her face, taking on an almost hopeful expression. ]
Is there a way we could all work together - start ruling out some possibilities maybe?
At least maybe get an idea as to why we were the ones taken. [Quickly adding: ] Is there something significant about you others would find beneficial – anything that may be important?
[ She pauses, attention turning away from the device, and the faint sound of metal hitting the table can be heard. (She tests her totem yet again, still unsatisfied with the results.) Her attention drifts back to the screen, as she clearly is fighting back the panic and uncertainty before she mumbles. ]
Dreams feel real when you're in them...
[ Not that the rest of the people here would understand that. But she needs to keep reminding herself this fact. ]

voice;
voice;
I'm an architect. [ we just wont be saying of what exactly. at least she isn't full-out lying. ]
You?
voice;
Your occupation, I admit, presents the possibility of unique function for this ship. In the event one assumes individuals have been intentionally appropriated.
voice;
What type of scientist are you though?
voice;
As the Tranquility appears to be a vessel designed for the express purpose of colonization however, I anticipate that your experience would be notably desired.
voice;
I assume you're here for some form of navigational purposes?
And maybe, [ a pause. ] I've never actually come across any designs like this to be honest. Well other then on television in some crude form of course.
voice;
Shall I assume that you believe we have been accumulated for a specific purpose?
voice;
I do. I've actually come to see, people are honestly willing to do almost anything in order to get what they want. So I don't see this as being any different.
[ again, a sigh, knowing she is clearly being vague on her thoughts. sorry about that. :/ ]
Where are you from exactly?
voice;
Immediately prior to my relocation I was positioned at my terminal aboard the bridge of the starship Enterprise, launching into warp drive from our position in the Solar System- the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.
I am however, somewhat preoccupied by your theory.
voice;
Are you friends with that cocky man from the stardate whatever? [ not that she was implying that to be a bad thing. she would just like an idea where others belong. ]
My theory [ an indistinguishable sound in thought before quickly adding: ] That we're all here for a purpose? [ or that this is a dream? ]
voice;
But in regard to your theory, yes. I have encountered few individuals thus far who believe genuine malicious intent is at the core of our relocation, and am somewhat puzzled by your assumption. Should I conclude that you anticipate an act of violence or perhaps retaliation is due upon your personage?
voice 1/2
[ why must you talk so cute spock? she can't help but smile slightly at it - even if she shouldn't. ]
Well...[ hold on, she clearly wants to explain a bit more. but she isn't about to do it where everyone can hear. ]
voice | filtered/locked/whatever it was arthur did to her before.
What sort of people have you come across though?
voice | locked
There are no significant similarities between the individuals who have been collected aboard the Tranquility. Inconsistencies between genetic composition, planetary systems, and chronology are but a few notable variances.
voice | locked
I'm assuming that means; we really don't know whom we can trust, right? As there is obviously going to be some here that are best to be avoided.
voice | locked
But to confide in none but those from your native continuum however, would prove infinitely more detrimental.
voice | locked
I obviously trust you more then some of the others here. [ she isn't fully sure as to why yet though. BUT HEY, IT'S A GOOD THING! ]
And I'm well aware; you all seem to come from somewhere I have no idea about. But I'm willing to take the chance on trusting you.
voice | locked
It is peculiar that you continue to identify yourself as an entirely separate anomaly from the others who have emerged from stasis.
voice | locked
here goes nothing. ] I guess you can say; I'm learning from experience? I've dealt with things as of late, that are entirely part of ones imagination, subconscious, what have you. And well, anything is possibly with that. So given the circumstance, I can only assume, most here are in fact, not real, and really they are just a part of ones subconscious. [ a beat] Granted, some of us here clearly are who we appear to be - just not all of us. So yeah, this has me slightly paranoid for many reasons.
voice | locked
his head cants delicately to one side. ]
Do the individuals you recognize and presumably identify as images separate from your subconscious- share a concrete memory with yourself? An identical point of origin?
voice | locked
bear with her, spock. ] These aren't my projections. [ oh god, she hopes they aren't. ] There is nothing that should tie them to me. So whomever they do belong to, they are the ones that are unknowingly controlling them. [ a beat ] We’re just here - assuming you're not a projection - almost acting as some form of bacteria. Sooner or later, they’re going to notice, and then they will attack.
[ she shrugs then, letting a small groan slips out of her. ] This makes no sense, I know that. It's not entirely that easy to explain actually. And I honestly shouldn't be talking about it. So I would prefer if you keep this to yourself.
I don't even know your name.
voice | locked
Per your request, I shall maintain your confidence.
However, provided your pre-established belief that we are projected members of an individual's subconscious- would my name and agreement to secrecy not become irrelevant?
voice | locked
[ a pause, just quickly trying to find the right words for her thoughts. as she obviously isn't sure what is real or what isn't anymore. and trying to come off as a mad woman isn't something she is all too thrilled about. ] I don't know. Perhaps you're right. Names wouldn't matter if you were a projection. And I'm not sure you would even be willing to listen then. But I'm going out on a limb on assuming you aren't, so..
voice | locked
[ there's a small incline of his head. because only spock would take the time to thank her for telling him he's not part of her brain. but a beat later he continues. ]
To the greatest of my awareness, I am not a projection, as you call it. However, several individuals aboard this ship have informed me that I exist in their continuum as a fictional character.
I am inclined to believe them.
voice | locked
brow raised in sudden curiosity then. ]
What exactly do you mean by that - like a book character is based off you?
