[ Hey Ataraxion, have one obviously annoyed, slightly frustrated, small brunette currently looking into what she assumes is the camera of the device in front of her. She’s only been here for a couple of hours, and already she thinks this is some convoluted dream – she just hasn’t figured out whose yet.

Brow furrowed, she lets out a long sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck before finally speaking to the screen. ] So it seems I'm not alone here. [ Which is a good thing, right? (or so she hopes) ] Yet none of you seem to have any real answers.

[ It’s not annoyance in her voice then, more sympathetic perhaps. (She feels your frustrations, okay?) A small smile ghosts across her face, taking on an almost hopeful expression. ]

Is there a way we could all work together - start ruling out some possibilities maybe?

At least maybe get an idea as to why we were the ones taken. [Quickly adding: ] Is there something significant about you others would find beneficial – anything that may be important?

[ She pauses, attention turning away from the device, and the faint sound of metal hitting the table can be heard. (She tests her totem yet again, still unsatisfied with the results.) Her attention drifts back to the screen, as she clearly is fighting back the panic and uncertainty before she mumbles. ]

Dreams feel real when you're in them...

[ Not that the rest of the people here would understand that. But she needs to keep reminding herself this fact. ]

Well, us all working together was my first idea.

Well I'm glad we're on the same page then. [ a small appreciative smile appears on her face then. ] Do you have an idea why you were taken?

None. It would look like it was accidental for everyone, at least according to the crew.

This can't be a dream. I don't dream.

You don't just accidentally take people - there is a reason for everything - you just need to find out what it is.

Do you know what you were doing before any of this? [ memories may be foggy still, but they are slowly coming back to her. has to be the case with everyone, right? ]

Well, I think I came back home and fell asleep. I woke up here.
If you think the crew is playing tricks on us, I can understand you. I have doubts as well.

[ seriously, why would someone take a kid? she smiles almost nervously then, slowly nodding at her words. ] Everyone dreams, you just might not realize it.

[ kindly: ] You don't remember any of your dreams?

Obviously they aren't going to tell us everything - why would they? [ it wouldn't make sense to show all your cards right away, right? ]

Maybe they really are just as clueless as the rest of us - I doubt it though. So trying to figure out why we’re here, well, it seems like the way to go.

What do you do back home?

Well, they did look clueless. Unless they can act very well, but that on top of being crewmembers... Well, they could hide things from us, but the more time passes, the more I doubt it.

No. [ Stone faced and adamant ] I don't dream.

[ Would it be wise to tell her she instead had visions of a writer creating the comic book and concept albums chase is a part of? ....Yeah, let's not freak everyone out. ]

Not significant, beneficial, or important. So, no.

[Nothing that she's aware of, in any case.]

I don't think this is a dream, either.

[ can't help but laugh slightly at that. ] Maybe. But looks are always deceiving. [ clearly she has been around a few people lately that makes her think this now. ]

Wait. [ a look, brow furrowing as she is going to need clarification here. ] You're a captain on a ship?

way it's looking, having two working hands is beneficial around here

[ that saddens her slightly. doesn't everyone want to dream in some way? ]

What about daydreams - you ever let your imagination run wild? [ so she might be trying to feel out the situation here. she's sorta curious how to approach this now. ]

You never know - it's a possibility. [ they want you to think this isn't a dream after all, right?

a look, scratching at the back of her neck in thought. there has to be something, you just need to think about it, right? ]

What do you do back home?

Hnnn. Anything I've ever daydreamed about isn't a daydream, per se. I imagine bits and pieces of the Ghansgraad. [ A small pause. Since she's the only one from her universe... ] A very, very important book.

You seen very keen on this dreaming thing.

As apposed to having none? Have you figured out what they expect us to be doing here?

ship this size with a skeleton crew, I'm guessing we're going to need to do some work don't know what that work would be, though. never been in space before

[Here, have a robotic voice.]

My kind do not dream. But that's... not really sayin' much.

[She pauses at the question. After all, it isn't just the past few days that are fuzzy in her head -- she woke up to a total blackout. Rather than wracking her brains trying to figure it out, she's been trying to distract herself, more than anything.

[She tilts her head, thinks for a moment. It's not a reality she's willing to share until she knows she can trust any of these people.]

...nothing. I didn't do anything.

[ Peering with vague awe at the camera. ]

You think this might be a dream?

We have answers, just none for the question of how the hell we got here.

No, you're right. It just means your mind is open to them is all. Dreams just honestly are an amazing thing - it only seems logical that they play a part in things.

[ her brow arched, looking more curious then anything then. ]

I've never heard Ghansgraad - what type of book is it? [ clearly it may be of importance to her, right? ]

[ ariadne can sense when someone isn't willing to share per se. she can respect it after all - especially here. that doesn't mean she isn't going to give her a slightly skeptical look, nodding slowly in understanding as she does. ]
