[ Hey Ataraxion, have one obviously annoyed, slightly frustrated, small brunette currently looking into what she assumes is the camera of the device in front of her. She’s only been here for a couple of hours, and already she thinks this is some convoluted dream – she just hasn’t figured out whose yet.

Brow furrowed, she lets out a long sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck before finally speaking to the screen. ] So it seems I'm not alone here. [ Which is a good thing, right? (or so she hopes) ] Yet none of you seem to have any real answers.

[ It’s not annoyance in her voice then, more sympathetic perhaps. (She feels your frustrations, okay?) A small smile ghosts across her face, taking on an almost hopeful expression. ]

Is there a way we could all work together - start ruling out some possibilities maybe?

At least maybe get an idea as to why we were the ones taken. [Quickly adding: ] Is there something significant about you others would find beneficial – anything that may be important?

[ She pauses, attention turning away from the device, and the faint sound of metal hitting the table can be heard. (She tests her totem yet again, still unsatisfied with the results.) Her attention drifts back to the screen, as she clearly is fighting back the panic and uncertainty before she mumbles. ]

Dreams feel real when you're in them...

[ Not that the rest of the people here would understand that. But she needs to keep reminding herself this fact. ]

[ almost uncertain: ] Star Trek - Nimoy Spock?

[ there is only the briefest hesitation. he has heard myriad responses, but this one in particular is new. ]

I do not believe I recognize the term.
Is Nimoy a planet?

[ she inhales quickly, because there is a dozen things going through her mind right now. and how to even approach this, seriously has her questioning all of her theories. ]

No he played Spock on the television series - movies too. [ a beat ] You don't sound like him though.

[ and then it hits her, and her eyes go wide as she thinks more. ] So your friend - Jim - that is James T. Kirk, right?

You guys are fictional characters.

Shall I presume that you are familiar with our fictional counterparts, or are we, as I have heard it said, pop culture?

Okay. [ she'll just take a moment of silence to let this all sink in now and what it means to her. projections, they had to be projections. but she wasn't entirely sure what to make of that fact yet.

she is nodding slightly to herself at his last words then, as she just lets out a small sigh continuing: ] I know some details - not many - enough that I watched the show a handful of times, along with the movies obviously. I wouldn't call me a trekkie though.

[ again, she pauses as she is rubbing at the back of her neck thinking out a few things, before asking curiously: ] How does this make you feel - being someone people know here, when obviously you don't know us?

[ if he is expected to feel ruffled by this somehow, to feel anything on the subject, spock has certainly not gotten the memo. his chin inclines, and there is no time taken to consider her question. multiple people have identified an acute awareness of their lives and cultures beyond reasonable capability.

it does not, however, retract the significance of their own lives. much less their own worlds. ]

It requires no sentiment. Our coexistence in parallel realities is simply a fact that exists.

Just as it is also fact, that our experiences have been, and remain, reality for us.

Oh. [ she is quiet for a moment then, as she should have assumed this reaction - at least from what she has learned from spock the character. this was spock the person though, right? so there was always a chance there would be some discrepancies between the two, correct? (or she was just wishful thinking perhaps)

a small sound of thought escaped her then, as she let out a low sigh. ] Someone knowing more about you, then you do them, that would bother me.

But I'm the one that obviously thinks this is a dream, right? And I tend to believe, people hide their emotions from others - until they tend to bubble over of course. So hey, you might just prove me wrong.

[ so pretty much, she isn't done asking about your emotions, spock. get use to it. ]

Who is the individual you believe us to be presently in the subconscious thereof?
