[ Behold! On your screen is a whole plastic box-case thing of Reese's minis, the gold foil wrappers of each bite-sized piece winking in the horrible eye-blinding indoor lights of the ship. There's actually a reason for Isaac to be taking a video of an incredibly boring thing, though. ]



I found these in my locker after the jump. It's well over ten pounds of Reese's minis and is seriously too much candy for one person, so I'm giving a pound of these to the first couple people willing to sing Rolling in The Deep on the public network. [ No, really. He means it. ] And is there anyone on the ship who is Canadian and can play hockey and/or lacrosse? I've got my lacrosse stick and three balls to shoot, but not enough gear to really play. Or have anyone to play against.

[ There's also another thing, but it's slightly less boring. It's also a bit tricky, since it involves the monthly fur problem. ]

I'm also thinking of camping out on the gardens for a couple days, are the gardens back to being mostly safe again?

Yeah, I got my iPod this jump too, but I don't know how to transfer the files onto the phone. I might have to ask around - unless you're okay with listening to it over the speakers?

They included a pair of earphones to go with the thing, but in the wrong color.

An- ocular assistant of some sort? I'd give it a go, depending on how difficult it is to share said music. [ You said Eye Pod, right? ] What year is it you're from where they've developed such technology?

Oc— No. An iPod, it's like— like a record player, only it's really really tiny and you can play anywhere from a hundred to a thousand songs on it easily without the battery dying on you. It's a popular gadget to own in 2011.

[ Holmes' mouth twists a little irritably, more with himself as he's wont to do when something's beyond his time. Can't be helped, but, well. ]

Much like the phones, then. [ But he is brightening a little because, hey, music is good. ] Interesting - might I see?

Hang on— [ He goes off-screen, as audible mucking about filters through the audio, and when Isaac comes back into the frame he's holding a palm-sized little black box with a screen, and two concentric circles with geometric symbols at the compass points of the outer circle. ] This is an iPod. They are like the phones, only you navigate with the buttons instead of the touch screen.

So you're like, from the past? Well, the present for you, I guess - I'm from pretty far into the future. [ Like a hundred years forward, Isaac. Obviously it's pretty far. ] You have record players though, right? What's it called, phonographs?
