Hello, Tranquility! [Have a wave and a gentle smile, befitting the goddess she totally thinks she is.]

I hope you're not having too much trouble with the temperature and all of that. It's been a little strange for a while, hasn't it? I don't like it any more than anyone, but making the best of it is the only way to do things. We will persevere!

Now. Ignoring everything that is, overall, serious and pressing, I have a question. A survey, if you will. It was recommended to me that I... Let's try to put this delicately so I don't upset anyone... That I might be interested in certain activities of an intimate nature. [She waves her hands about; don't judge too quickly!] I have no opinion on this. I was wondering if anyone did, however.

Where I come from, my people usually reserved that for relationships, and procreation. However, you all may have different outlooks. Would you mind sharing your opinions? I promise I won't tell a soul. I'm primarily curious about the incidence of one-night stands versus those of you who are in committed relationships. While this is a very private matter, this is for the purposes of research. Think of it like an exchange program. I wasn't human, after all.

Oh, dear. I'm sure someone's asked this before; it's a terribly interesting topic. Still, indulge me, won't you? I have nothing else to do.

[Juliana... Missing the bigger picture in favor of being in her own set of rules, as always.]

[So Clara isn't really one for posting on networks, but she figures with the temperature going completely mad, she ought to at least try to get something done about it instead of sitting around and sulking. Sulking and shivering as she's doing currently in her room.

She flips the device to video, still shivering, and clears her throat before before speaking.]

So, judging by the rest of the posts, I'm not the only one who's room has suddenly turned into an ice box. And considering sleeping in the halls would be ridiculous and supposedly dangerous, I've got to ask if anyone has a coat they might lend me? Or if you're a polar bear, maybe we could switch rooms until the temperature starts going bonkers.

[She raises her eyebrows as if hopefully staring at whomever might watch her post. Then she grows more serious, thoughtful, as she carefully words the next question.]

And getting a bit more personal. Really personal. Has anyone else... been here before and yet completely forgotten that you were? Because I've been here before and so has my friend, the Doctor. But he's gone and I don't remember a thing.

[She frowns.] So if you knew me before, we should get acquainted again. Especially if I need to use the "buddy system" to go about the ship as it does require buddies.

Takeshi [Gantz • Age 5]
[First, the screen is black, and there's the sound of scuffling, possibly half-dragged feet.

Then the comms unit tilts and whirls — turns upward to reveal a sweat-drenched kid's face, slightly wild hair in need of a trim and plastered to his forehead. He doesn't seem to pay the screen much mind, looking ahead in what appears to be a random, dim hallway. Not very far from home base, but enough that he clearly should have thought this through better. But then, Takeshi hasn't noticed that, now that he's found himself in a particularly hot spot... well, the power suit's not blocking out the heat anymore (not like last month, but he doesn't even realize the ship is making things worse--); in fact, it's making things way worse, and it's clear by the pale skin and the nauseated face that it's actually giving him heat exhaustion. Probably didn't help that he was chasing after something for a few minutes before that, using up valuable coolness and energy.]

Sorry... I thought — I thought I saw a lady, but maybe it wasn't a lady. Maybe it coulda' been any kind... But I saw them go in the hallways... I wanted to stop them 'cus if they go too far, they're gonna get lost...

[He breathes heavy, blinking just as heavily. His head hurts, and he wants to get mad, but he's also kinda' tired. He finally addresses the feed, wiping at his face with a black-gloved hand, all leather, all heavy, grimacing his lips at the discomfort. He blinks hard and forces himself to refocus, even though he feels a little dizzy. Dizzy, but more determined. Or something close to it. He speaks a little louder:]

S'hot out here. They're gonna... get into trouble.

But I dunno' where I am now.

My power suit's... not... M'getting hot. I don't remember getting hot like this before. I think my suit's broken.

Did anyone see a person run in the hall? Did they see anybody? Maybe someone found them. I swear, I saw a person. I don' want them to die — people die and get lost too much. Like Chase... Don't want the monsters to get them. Someone tell them not to go no more.

[When the video turns on, the person making the recording is obviously sitting just outside the main doors to Engineering - the feed is swaying a little as he gets situated, and you can see a flash of the hallway, his blue pants and sneakers, and then his right hand, opening and closing repeatedly, the flesh on the back burnt a nice pink color.

There's a hiss, and then the feed fixes on his face - he doesn't look particularly distressed, just a little irritated, serious. After a moment, he lets out a held breath, and fixes that serious expression on the camera.]

Right. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that someone else has already tried going in there.

[He pauses, not a hesitation so much as a moment to think, and he glances down at his hand again - if it's not frozen, it's burnt.]

And probably failed, judging by the way the temperature fluctuations are still happening.

[A pause.]

So I'm asking now. Has the ship told us anything about why this is happening yet?
