[ Jaye's sitting in the Oxygen Gardens, tucked away in a back corner near some grasses. She's wearing a plaid mens shirt that she hasn't worn out in public before, watching a grasshopper that has landed on one of the leather wristbands she got in her locker this past jump. Unlike her previous network experience this month, she looks more subdued; she's been doing a lot of thinking lately. ]

Nobody knows for sure where people go when they disappear from here, do they? I mean, people say "home", but we don't... know.

[ She turns her wrist, watching the grasshopper. ] And we don't know what the fuck anyone's up to without us, either.

[ The insect hops away, out of sight, and Jaye follows it with her eyes for a moment before looking back at her network device. ] ... Right, well. [ She shakes her head, smiling -- anyone who knows her well enough or who is particularly good at reading expressions should be able to tell it's forced. ] I've got some fun questions now. Favorite animal back home and why? Animal you'd consider the most dangerous and why? [ Yes that is somehow a fun question. Danger is fun, right guys? ... Right? ] All you people who aren't from Earth, you should tell me about the animals you guys have. It'd be interesting to hear about the differences.

I'd say it's fun. I mean, it can suck pretty bad, too, but man... that sucks.

[She just shrugs, trying not to make too much of a big deal over it. Even if it sucked that it was something that she'd never get to experience, there wasn't much she could do about it.]

I guess -- haha -- but I guess that just means I have to find fun in other things, right~?

[Although sometimes those "other things" could be rather questionable activities.]

[ Hey, there's something to be said for a positive attitude when it comes to that sort of thing. ]

Absolutely. Can I ask what you do instead?

Right now? Eheh? Not much -- mostly just scanning the network right now. [Or rather, trying to figure out how to fit in here.] I mean, there's really not much to do on this ship... is there?

Not that I've noticed. I mean, you can help in one of the departments, but none of them are really my thing. I just fuck around, spar, that sort of thing. [ "Fuck around" is perhaps a little more literal in meaning than it would be for most people. ]

[She raises a brow at the "fuck around" part, wondering if she meant it in a literal sense, but Sarina figured it'd be better not to ask.]

Heheh... I'm not really sure if any of the departments would want me. [Considering she really wasn't sure if there was a place for someone whose best talents were in hiding and killing people. And fishing.]

Without Animal Planet, it's got to be boring for you, huh? [She smiles, clearly playing it off as a joke.]

Oh, they're all about unity and working together. It's gonna get someone killed if they let the wrong person help.

[ To which Jaye's response tends to be "popcorn.gif".

She snorts. ] Yeah, something like that. And so network posts like this happen.

[Nervously, she scratches at the back of her scalp.] Heheh... that's what I'm worried about, actually.

[She did have a tendency to go a little too overboard with enemies, after all.]

Of course! Eeheehee! I guess all of us are kind of like a replacement Animal Planet now, huh?

Well, if they deserve it, I don't see the problem. Honestly I probably wouldn't see the problem unless I liked the person anyway, but that's just me.

Something like that. A lot less narration and I can't hit the mute button when it gets annoying, though. Gods some of these people like to go on.

I agree -- heeheehee -- but at the moment, I don't have a reason to kill anyone here. [a pause.] Not yet, anyway.

Hahaha~! Well, I think there's still the option to turn this thing off -- that's kind of like muting, isn't it~? Except a lot ruder. [She shrugs.] I guess next time you should ask people to entertain you, or something!

Stick around, I'm sure someone'll do something dumb enough to catch your attention.

[ Jaye shrugs as well. ] I've done it before. Harder in person but I can just walk away, too. As for asking them to entertain me, well, I think people'd get pissy.

Heheh... as long as they don't piss me off, they should be fine.

But hey, if they choose to answer to entertaining you, it's their own damned fault if they're pissed off -- heheh -- and that just shows that they're no fun at all~!

[She pauses, smirking a little.] Actually, it might be a little funny if they got that worked up over it, heheh!

[Sarina blinks in confusion at the sudden introduction of the name, but quickly figures out that she must be introducing herself.]

[ Weird name, but hey, whatever. ]

Heehee! [Huh. Did she just make a friend or ally of sorts? This was still a process she was re-learning.] Sure! I don't know how much more entertaining than everyone else I am, but I'll keep it in mind.

[ She's free to pick whichever label she wants; Jaye will be fine with either, even if "friend" may surprise her more than "ally". It shouldn't at this point, but old habits die hard. ]
