You'd like us to act like adults? That's rather rich, coming from the bickering couple. I, so far, haven't gone to any particular lengths to berate the unseen smile that seems to be keeping a constant watch on us. That said, in my opinions, using the network to discuss these matters is not currently very appealing. "Nothing is off the record", after all.

I was going to say it, but she already did. Either way we'll be seen. Nothing is off record, at all. Especially if one does take into account the idea of the ship saying it was watching us. And while the idea of not being on the list is a pleasant one, the fact that out of the three of us I do have the power that provides the least bit of help in theory doesn't make the fact that I'm the lone individual who has found myself free of it any nicer and/or good.

Excellent, I suppose now would be the point someone states the obvious and remarks upon how we're all most probably doomed? Perhaps our observer is playing with us in a different way. The lack of a common factor to link all of us on the link makes me wonder if whoever is behind the smile merely wants to make us paranoid, and that there's no meaning behind the list at all. [ Well. ] Or at least one can dream that that might be the case.

well, since you asked: we're all doomed.

maybe it's trying to figure out fault lines among the crew? that would explain both the clusters of related people and the lack of a unifying relationship between everyone on the list. (and just looking at us, it's kind of working.)

to determine, discern and evaluate their methods and cognitive strategies.

This isn't a tiff. Besides, your definition of a tiff isn't necessarily mine. Point remains, you two were the first and yet neither one of you did a thing.

Neither of us did a thing about what? There were no strange anonymous beings to investigate, and we had just been unceremoniously dumped on a damned spaceship. What would you have done in my place, Dundee? In fact, is there anything that you have done since your arrival that might constitute as informative or largely helpful? Besides trying to have a little chat with what might be the most dangerous entity or being on board this ship, that is.

I would have done something. Her first post when we came was her being pleased about shoes. In addition to that, I do believe here actions before we arrived with regards to her ability i.e. threatening to airlock individuals might have been a bit, oh , I don't know, idiotic? Keeping a low profile seems doomed from the start when she does that. And shockingly, I'll count actually remaining low profile minus talking to a smile that insists on putting three order members on a list for god knows what reason as doing something useful. God forbid I'm actually quiet in what I do. Let me make as much ruckus as the rest of us. In addition, perhaps the fact that you two were rather idle because of being unceremoniously dumped onto this godforsaken ship might be half of the reason this is even an issue.

What relevance does this have to me, Dundee? You can't blame me for Cambridge's indiscretions, I was never her keeper. What she said or did was never supposed to be my responsibility. Besides, other than making space hangover-induced threats and being good with technology, she hardly acted in a suspicious manner If you will, please name a time where I have acted inappropriately or done something that might compromise us, rather than complaining about what Cambridge - who is no longer here, if that has escaped your notice - has or has not done. I have kept an absolutely reasonable profile, for God's sake, and I intend to continue to do so. You're here now, Dundee, so why don't you get on and "do something" as you claim you would. Or was that a privelege only allowed for those of us that originally arrived in the first jump? You have no reason to complain about myself and Cambridge when you have been here all this time and been just as idle as we were.

okay, this has definitely escalated into tiff territory. if everyone could take it down a notch or fifty right now, that would probably be a good idea.

1. yeah, it would also be great if cambridge was here, but she's not (and he's also not), and there's no point in talking about what she might or might not have done while she was here.
2. none of us are low profile. nobody on the ship is low profile. "nothing is off the record."
3. we should probably be thinking about what we're going to do about this rather than pointing fingers.

besides, even money says that :) can see this and he's laughing at us right now. so please cut it the hell out, if for no other reason than that.
