[The video doesn't take long to focus on the woman's face. At most, there are angle adjustments, but it appears asking questions and requesting assistance has boded well for her in regards to this particular set of technology. Her brow remains furrowed until she sees things working the way she was told. With slow ease, she gives a faint smile, her tone serious yet gentle with her French Orlesian accent.]

I thought it best that I thank those who have provided assistance over the past few weeks. I am certain my concerns were not the only questions answered and I appreciate the help provided.

That being said, I thought it best I return the favor. I'm Evangeline de Brassard. While present, I intend to assist with the security here. Although I admit, I am still learning of this place, I do intend to help however I can.

[She pauses although it isn't a very long-lived debate on whether or not to continue.]

I've also heard there are others from Thedas here. I've already spoken with a few of you, but would like to know how many others may be present. I am a templar and I realize that may be a concern to some, but I'd rather you address it with me directly if that should be the case.

[Considering current events as they were, she's well aware Templars and mages aren't exactly in the best standing with the public and since she has no idea who that public may be here, it is better safe than sorry. She'd prefer to get that mess out of the way, if there's any mess to begin with.

There's another short pause and thought but she comes up empty handed. This is enough for now, hopefully.]

[Newt is getting a hang of the tech here pretty easily and while she's still a bit shy she's been watching the videos people leave. And while she's not a bookworm back home she has heard enough stories to know what armour looks like....so. Have a seven year old with wide eyes on the screen.]

[She should be more surprised that children are here, but she's not. The Spire was hardly much different in theory. Her smile is sweet and warm, amused by the girl's question. Honestly, however, she's never had to explain what a templar is or does to someone. People usually just know. So it takes her a moment to think of the right thing to say.]

No, my father was a Chevalier-a knight-for the Emperor of Orlais a long time ago, but I'm not. I'm a templar; we protect the mages, while knights protect those of royalty. But our purpose is similar.

[Cole has been trying to keep watch on Rhys and Evangeline, as much as he can, while remaining out of sight. He just ... wants them to be safe. And maybe Ai was right about talking to them, but he keeps loosing his courage. So he sees the post and makes his way into the hallway where Evangeline is. He's trying to walk quietly, sure, but mostly he's relying on his invisibility to remain out of sight. ]

[She doesn't notice him right away, with her focus being on the communicator and then on the hall in front of her.

It's not until she sees something move in the corner of her eye. It's probably nothing, but she knows far better than to just hope something is nothing. Evangeline doesn't turn immediately so as not to cause alarm and instead waits until she's at a corner before taking the opportunity to glance behind her.

What she catches a glimpse of, however, turns her head entirely. There's a subtle surprise on her face, hopeful surprise.]

[When she doesn't see him right away, he assumes he's in the clear, of course. And when she stops and looks back, Cole does too, wondering what she could be-

The thoughts, the feeling of recognition crash over him like waves. He's in too much of a panic to sort them out when he realizes.

It seems to me there are different definitions of 'Templar' drifting around this ship. At any rate, I have arrived recently myself and it's a comfort to know I am not the only new arrival. Not... that I'd wish this on anyone, or that I should be glad they're here...
