Fourth Summons : Text

[She doesn't like sleeping, she doesn't like needing sleep and she doesn't like what comes with sleep.]

Is there a way to stop yourself from dreaming when you sleep?

consequence: (and I said: you're beautiful)

Dreams happen during a certain cycle of your sleep. You can try to not reach that cycle of your sleep - that might help.
consequence: (did that sound bitchy?)

[personal profile] consequence 2014-12-26 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
you can set an alarm so that you only take short naps instead of actually sleeping. I don't think it would work in the long run, because your body needs to go through all the sleep cycles for sleep to be beneficial.

are you having trouble with bad dreams?
consequence: (not now tiger)

Do you want to talk about it? that might help you work through them.

wake up before your rem cycle can happen.
but the rem cycle is what actually gets you rested, so it's not going to be as helpful as you think.

uh well.
theoretically we're all capable of controlling our dreams, so you could try working that angle instead.

Wear yourself out before you sleep.
letsjustgogo: (So can we go now?)

[personal profile] letsjustgogo 2015-01-01 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It helps me. When I'm completely exhausted I think I'm probably too tired to dream.
letsjustgogo: (Ooh this should be good.)

[personal profile] letsjustgogo 2015-01-01 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Basically, yeah.

Dreams are my brother's domain, but I know a thing or two. People go mad if they don't dream at all, but there are ways to influence what you dream about.

A lot of dreams are shaped by what was on your mind as you fell asleep. Music can help.

A lot of people find soothing piano or string music leads to better dreams.
