So it's come to my attention that i'm one of the last ones left on the medical team on board. And now, the one who's been here the longest. [ Peter sounds a touch strained - for a variety of reasons - maybe a little on the tired side. But he's altogether more than willing to be doing this and he sounds enough like it to get by. ]

My name is Peter Petrelli and I woke up from a month long coma to find out that the entire department is under my control. I know I've missed a lot, but that doesn't change the fact that i'm happy to take on the mantle. What that doesn't mean is that I'm planning on trying run the whole thing by myself or considering ruling with an iron fist for my own benefit. But I might as well take the position that's been handed to me by way of default and make the most of it.

For those of you who don't know - who're new around here and haven't heard about it yet, we've got jobs that're set up by departments. That's the simplified version. If you want to hear more about all of them, I might not be the perfect person to ask considering I don't know everything about all of them. But if you're looking for a job doing something, ask around. There's more than enough opportunities for everyone.

But that's not what i'm trying to get at. [ A pause, only noteworthy because of the sigh that follows. ]

After missing a jump and the entire month that followed, i'm pretty sure i'm behind on who all's now in medical and who might want to be. Half of all I want is to meet everyone who's joined that I haven't met already, make sure i've got an actual grip on things. The other half is to try and find anyone who's interested in joining. We'll take anyone who thinks they can offer any kind of help - we're lacking in staff right now, or we were last I knew, and finding some more help would be appreciated.

Maybe not as full as a complete hospital staff, but we've still got more than a few things to take care of. Requires at least some people.

My name is Dr. Henry McCoy, but I answer to Hank. I have several specialties thanks to evolved intelligence and a doctorate in Biophysics with knowledge of Medicine. Unfortunately I've already signed up to Engineering and I volunteer with the shuttle bay. I also have a rather unique appearance which means some people may find me startling or outright alarming. My mutation was also accelerated recently and I'm currently trying to figure out how to deal with super human strength.

What all of this means is I can help out in the long-run but for now I may be best as a last resort. Unless someone would prefer a physician who is used to dealing with non-human physiology.

You never know, someone might appreciate a physician with non-human physiology. But I appreciate the thought even if you haven't got the time. Even doctors on call is something i'd appreciate having, i'm thinking for consultations, maybe. Hopefully we won't have much need for you, though. Can never tell around here.

It's just that last resorts always help in an emergency.

And i'd offer to help out with your super human strength but I don't have mine anymore. Not sure how much of a help i'd be.

I've already got a job - I work for Carolyn - but I was thinking about medical, before that. I know some...I'm not like, any sort of medical professional, I just used to do things for my father, and I thought it might be useful if I learned how you're supposed to do those things?

( just because you can sterilize with vodka and freehand some stitches while you swat him in the back of the head and tell him not to be such a baby and not to piss off such a big guy next time if he doesn't like it - doesn't mean you should. )
