what are the odds of it actually happening?

on this ship? it's hard to say. but space is dangerous. we could be hit by something while we're all in stasis and not know there's an emergency, not have time to fix anything because we're unconscious. worst-case scenario, we don't wake up from it at all.

this ship is a deathtrap. always has been, even before people started trying to take engineering apart. things don't stay repaired. new things break. and we don't have anywhere near the number of people meant to keep a ship this large fully operational, and even if we did, most of these people have no idea what the hell they're doing.
