almost one earth year, at least outside of stasis.

someone saw him several months back, no one's reported seeing him since.

long time for a ship to be without a captain

acting captain, as it turns out. he was the only actual crewmember left, as far as we knew -- thought resnik was, but she wasn't. now there's the nurse.

any idea what happened to the rest of them?

some of them were killed -- by the creatures we call 'manticores', though 'prisoners who were experimented on' is a more accurate description. some of them apparently hallucinated and killed each other.

a lot of the shuttles were missing, when we came aboard. but from the sound of things, no one has heard anything about this ship or the last space station we stopped at for about forty years.

how do you know about the manticores? i didn't get the impression there was a log of things

someone dragged a body back and what we had of a science department at the time did tests

and there were... dreams. memories.

no pulling punches. how/why did the dreams happen?

ship made us relive the memories of others/feel the sensations that other people were experiencing. likely related.

and on strela they tried to brainwash us.

not sure exactly. locked up in a white room.

they were all... they didn't speak. they were too in-sync with each other. a few people were brainwashed, though I don't think any are still around. it took a few days away from the station for it to wear off.

but it wore off
