[ Hey Ataraxion, have one obviously annoyed, slightly frustrated, small brunette currently looking into what she assumes is the camera of the device in front of her. She’s only been here for a couple of hours, and already she thinks this is some convoluted dream – she just hasn’t figured out whose yet.

Brow furrowed, she lets out a long sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck before finally speaking to the screen. ] So it seems I'm not alone here. [ Which is a good thing, right? (or so she hopes) ] Yet none of you seem to have any real answers.

[ It’s not annoyance in her voice then, more sympathetic perhaps. (She feels your frustrations, okay?) A small smile ghosts across her face, taking on an almost hopeful expression. ]

Is there a way we could all work together - start ruling out some possibilities maybe?

At least maybe get an idea as to why we were the ones taken. [Quickly adding: ] Is there something significant about you others would find beneficial – anything that may be important?

[ She pauses, attention turning away from the device, and the faint sound of metal hitting the table can be heard. (She tests her totem yet again, still unsatisfied with the results.) Her attention drifts back to the screen, as she clearly is fighting back the panic and uncertainty before she mumbles. ]

Dreams feel real when you're in them...

[ Not that the rest of the people here would understand that. But she needs to keep reminding herself this fact. ]

[ she frowns slightly at that, her shoulder shrugging slightly as she does. clearly she can sense the change in some way, and she honestly doesn't set out to do that to people. but trying to find out all she can, tends to push buttons more then it should for some. and she is truly sorry for that in a way.

her expression softens then, as she offers her a small smile. Hoping to show she isn't out to cause all out problems with her. ]

I'm Ariadne. [ brow raised faintly as she gives the other woman a small smile, hoping she will at least be willing to open up with her name. (have to start somewhere, right?) ]

[See, now this was a dilemma she was afraid she was going to have to face, sooner or later. Because she's pretty sure that a ship full of people who, for the most part, are strangers to one another are going to be introducing themselves a lot, and most expecting an answer in return.

[This was going to prove itself to be problematic.]

...nice to meet you. [The words force themselves out like an instinctive reflex; more like reciting a line she saw from a movie than an actual, friendly response.]

[ Noting the lack of a return name, ariadne just eyed the woman on the screen curiously for a moment, nodding slowly in her thoughts. ] Still not remembering anything?

[Silence.]

Is anyone?

[Just act natural.]

[ she nodded slightly, offering her a sympathetic smile. ]

I remember most things now. I was at an airport just before this - back in the states actually.

You can’t recall anything though?

I... no. I remember -- some things.

[It's a half lie, half truth. One wouldn't exactly call them memories, though.]

[ some things? that's a start, right? ]

Like what though? Maybe going over them might help jog something. [ it's worth a shot. ]

It's not something I can make a grocery list out of when it's more like... a feeling. Like a sound or a smell. Or, like the way birds instinctively know that they have to migrate, if that makes sense.

[Seriously, comparing herself to a bird?]

[ a bird..sure.

a slow nod in understanding, letting a ghost of a smile spread across her lips. ]

Just don't ignore any of them if you can. Things tend to get worse when that happens - least from what I notice.

I try not to.
