001 ♗ video
[ Hey Ataraxion, have one obviously annoyed, slightly frustrated, small brunette currently looking into what she assumes is the camera of the device in front of her. She’s only been here for a couple of hours, and already she thinks this is some convoluted dream – she just hasn’t figured out whose yet.
Brow furrowed, she lets out a long sigh, rubbing at the back of her neck before finally speaking to the screen. ] So it seems I'm not alone here. [ Which is a good thing, right? (or so she hopes) ] Yet none of you seem to have any real answers.
[ It’s not annoyance in her voice then, more sympathetic perhaps. (She feels your frustrations, okay?) A small smile ghosts across her face, taking on an almost hopeful expression. ]
Is there a way we could all work together - start ruling out some possibilities maybe?
At least maybe get an idea as to why we were the ones taken. [Quickly adding: ] Is there something significant about you others would find beneficial – anything that may be important?
[ She pauses, attention turning away from the device, and the faint sound of metal hitting the table can be heard. (She tests her totem yet again, still unsatisfied with the results.) Her attention drifts back to the screen, as she clearly is fighting back the panic and uncertainty before she mumbles. ]
Dreams feel real when you're in them...
[ Not that the rest of the people here would understand that. But she needs to keep reminding herself this fact. ]

[ sure it may be cocky to assume she was worth taking. but, she was slowly starting to realize just what lengths people were willing to go to in order to gain power/wealth/whatever. so taking a handful of people, and sticking them in a ship (in a dream?) well, it only seemed natural that these people wanted something with them. ]

Weirder things have happened. I heard a story once about a man who woke up naked three planets away from where he went to sleep. Of course, I always figured he just got drunk and boarded a transport ship and then was too embarassed to tell anyone.

if she could type out her thoughts in text at that moment though, they obviously wouldn't be very articulate. ]
Okay, that is new to me. Though people tend to have rather interesting imaginations at times, so anything is possible, right?

[ It was always a little funny to her what people would reveal about themselves to a thief without a second thought, often without even realizing they were doing it. ]

[ ariadne can't help but be filled with questions and ideas now. so apparently she is more then willing to share things in return. ]

You're going to have to explain, spontaneous interplanetary transportation.
Well - at least elaborate on it.
[ she might sound a bit too eager at learning it. but understanding all that is going on, well, knowing this might help. ]

Where I come from, there are some fast ways of getting around. Sending a ship through a mass relay can let you jump thousands of light years in an instant. But we still haven't figured out how to teleport instantly and definitely not between planets.
Every now and then, someone claims to have done it, though. Usually right before they charge a fortune to be interviewed about their experiences.

Where are you from exactly?

[ Not that she really expects any of that to sound familiar. ]

[ though, the longer she is talking to others, the harder and harder it is to explain her theory. ]

[ One of the nice things about coming from the kind of world that Kasumi comes from: the idea that more than one dimension might exist seems pretty plausible. ]

Yeah, that would be the case. Of course there are things obviously possible - but the space travel like this isn't one of them. So you have to see where my doubts are going to be. Are there any books on this anywhere?
