While I sure do love having my precious moments spread around the ship like an episode of Dawson's Creek, I can't help but think most of you aren't making the best of this - admittedly awful - situation. Sure, it sucks, but it has its perks.

Which is to say: nyah, nyah, guess which one of us got to fly the Millennium Falcon?

[ Casey is a little sheepish, because hey, they aren't his memories. But on the other hand, they've made a frankly awful month a lot better for a guy who has all the secrets, and no way to keep any of them. ]

I'm already on his hit list, to tell you the truth. I've been pretending it's no big deal, but you're right. He's going to kill me.

[ And for just a day Han Solo was his dad. Frigging A! ]

Don't let Solo hear you say that.

[ Sulu don't you know anything? ]

Look, the Enterprise is great and shiny and stuff, but space travel is about grit, not sleek supercar spaceships with polished exteriors and plump lounge fittings. Nobody goes into space to be comfortable.

Nah, he won't kill you. He might maim you a little but there's at least a seventy percent chance he'll let you live. [A pause then, only partially teasingly.] Unless you start bad-mouthing the Falcon. Then you're a goner because if he doesn't get to you, I will.

Are you kidding? Best thing I've ever flown. The TIE fighter wasn't bad, either.

It helps that you're a damn good pilot.

Alright, let's put it in a way you might understand. You know how Serenity is a piece of flying go se and we all know it? Well, just imagine that she had laser canons and a hyperdrive that usually worked first time, and better yet, she didn't fall apart and leave you to suffocate in the middle of nowhere for no reason at all.

Now wouldn't you love to fly a ship like that?

[Jaina might not be one to fish for compliments but she likes them when she receives them. Her grin shows as much.]

After a second, she does grow a touch somber.]

Just, you know, be careful what you talk about with some people on board. [Like her parents. Talk to your friends about things all you want but her parents are practically infants and don't need to know stuff yet.]

Casey considers not replying for a moment because these conversations usually go so well, but what has he got to be afraid of, really? It's a memory, that's all. It's not like he actually had his paws all over ~~Han Solo's wife~~ the Falcon. ]

It's fine, you can untwist your panties. It's not like they were my memories. I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I'd actually flown your precious baby.

[ Flying his precious baby. Oh, the irony of that statement. ]

[ It doesn't help when you have a dad and an uncle who both think they're hot stuff in the pilot's seat, does it? ]

[ The switch between humorous and serious is literally impossible to notice, because Casey tends to maintain a general balance of both. Life is better that way. ]

You uh--want to fill me in on exactly the sort of things you'd rather keep to yourself? [ Because he's seen things, and if she means not telling Han that he's her father then... Well, he would have to get right on not doing that. ]

[Hrm. Good question. How to word this? She gives a slight shrug.]

Just the fate of folks by my time, outcomes of situations that didn't go in our favor. That kind of thing. [She's trying not to let her sudden thought of Chewie, and Anakin, and the others they've lost over the years, weigh her down. It's still pretty obvious there's a waver to her tone, but she pushes it away quickly enough and flashes him a smirk.]

Other than that, have at it. I'm glad somebody's getting some enjoyment from it all.

[ He's with her there, at least, because having those memories, feeling them, seeing Han's reaction--he empathises with her. That's what this is all about, after all. It's a sad, sad thing, the loss of a family member.

Still, at least she didn't have to watch Attack of the Clones. Unless she did. In which case...

Serenity is a damn fine ship, 'specially with how Kaylee keeps her running.

Really, tell me who they are so that I can personally wring their neck.

The only reason why you're safe is that I find your opinions on the Millennium Falcon interesting and I tend to agree with them.
