On the off chance that, out of all the people dragged here from all over the multiverse from different planets and points in time, one of them is going to be a religious nutjob with the intent to kill me?

No. You know what? I'm more powerful that some guy who believe's he's doing "God's work" by killing innocent teenagers. I don't need to live in fear of-- of someone finding out, of all these memory shenanigans, of... bigots.

It's probably more accurate to ask what magic can't do. It's pretty diverse... mostly you're limited by your knowledge or ability. I'm pretty good at setting things on fire, though I'm guessing that's probably a bad idea in a spaceship.

It's a bad idea at all when people are coming after you. You do understand, do you not, that you will be held culpable if you deliberately pick a fight and then cause significant harm to the other person?

In any case, who's picking fights? I'm simply stating what I am. Like saying, "I'm blonde and seventeen years old." If someone fights with me over that, surely they're the one picking a fight.

I cannot frown upon learning greater control; this I will grant. But if your goal in doing so is so that you're still able to engage in violence, that seems reckless at best.

Oh. Erm - Well. If that is the goal, then there is no question that a teacher would be of merit.
