[ caroline's sitting in her room surrounded by her loot which is mostly clothes with some jewelry and other knick knacks including a good selection of booze. she and tyler made off like bandits.] That place was better than a mall even if I guess this technically makes me a space pirate or something. [ however, that's the not the worst thing to be called, after all.] Too bad the ship kinda had a freaky meltdown there towards the end.

[ she pauses, pushing the pile of folded clothes off her lap onto the bed.] Is everyone okay? I mean, no one got trapped over there, right? [ she's mostly talking to you, people she loves and even the new people she's met.]

I know people have kind of said that bad things happening is almost cliche around here but seriously? Was that normal? Do I even want to know whatever bad stuff has happened before this?

Um, no thank you. I'm pretty sure me and mutant rats are not gonna mesh well.

[He gives her a slightly wounded look, for Brunhilda's sake, but it's gone nearly as soon as it came over him, and he answers her without hesitating.]

Absolutely. Which one?

I don't know... a bunny?

[He considers this a moment, thoughtfully--and then gives a decisive nod.]

One bunny, coming up, miss.

[And he ducks out of sight for a moment, only to return with a pillow, which he promptly strips of its pillowcase and lays in front of his device, very obviously and directly. Here it is, a pillow--and he gets out his wand, with nothing short of a flourish--and raps it against the corner of the pillow, once, twice, a third time, this time with a jab, and a mumbled spell--

There's a pause, and then a noise like a rubber ball backfiring, something too elastic-y to be a noise of nature--and the pillow twists up and contorts and draws in and bulges out, white pink white white pink--

And now there's a bunny there, with a twitchy nose, blinking furiously in its newfound life.]

What's it they say? Oh, yeah-- presto.

[ caroline, of course, looks skeptical about the pillow. and then the wand because... come on. but surprisingly she keeps quiet and just waits.

she does flinch at the sound and her eyes sort of squint then widen at the way the pillow starts to contort and change. change into a bunny.]

Wait... whoa! Do you have magic? [ she says it before she really realizes that the phrasing of her question might come off as someone who knows about magic somewhat. maybe it doesn't.

but bonnie never used a silly wand.]

[He looks down at the wand in his hand, and then down at the bunny--which has hopped a little out of the frame of the device, nose twitching like bad.]

I s'ppose I do, yeah. [He grins at her, teasing.] I'm a wizard, miss, so I should hope that I've a little magic, anyways. Have you got some yourself?

A wizard? Seriously? [ except she looks kind of excited about it. it's cool, okay?]

No. I'm not magic or whatever.

Or 'whatever'. I like that.

[But he's excited that she's excited, okay! Everyone ought to be excited about magic.]

But yes, definitely. Siriusly. Obviously, or else how would I have done the rabbit for you? And she's yours, by the way. What will you name her?

It's not just an illusion or something? It's not going to disappear? [ because bonnie's magic worked and all that but she never did anything like that, and if she did, it was temporary because it drained her.]

It eventually disappears, yeah. But if you want to get technical, don't we all eventually disappear?

This one's temporary. It'll last, oh, a few days, at least? But if you become very attached to her in the meantime, I'm happy to do one that will last for much longer. You deserve it. Think of it as a welcome-to-space present.
