[ caroline's sitting in her room surrounded by her loot which is mostly clothes with some jewelry and other knick knacks including a good selection of booze. she and tyler made off like bandits.] That place was better than a mall even if I guess this technically makes me a space pirate or something. [ however, that's the not the worst thing to be called, after all.] Too bad the ship kinda had a freaky meltdown there towards the end.

[ she pauses, pushing the pile of folded clothes off her lap onto the bed.] Is everyone okay? I mean, no one got trapped over there, right? [ she's mostly talking to you, people she loves and even the new people she's met.]

I know people have kind of said that bad things happening is almost cliche around here but seriously? Was that normal? Do I even want to know whatever bad stuff has happened before this?

[ scoff! she's offended!] Why would I kill someone? [ PAUSE] There were real space pirates? Were they like fairytale pirates with fancy clothes or more like... Somali pirates that are scary and way less fancy?

I'd say they were more disappointing than scary or fancy. They tried at being scary but-- [And here he shrugs, dismissively.] Eh. But you can be a fancy pirate if you like!

As to why you'd kill someone, I suspect you'll be quite disgusted with her appearance, but perhaps I've misjudged you. Are you up for it?

Well, the fancy ones are the fun ones. They get into the rum and wave their arms around drunkenly.

Haven't had anything like that happen to me, but I haven't really been around long. All I've experienced is usually a lot more frightening and a lot less... [ he would say fun, but... ] like back to school shopping, I suppose.

Caroline the cow... girl, wouldn't it be girl? Cowgirl? I certainly hope so. And it's not a girlfriend--Merlin's beard, I bloody well hope no one thinks she's a girlfriend--and it's not going to hurt you--that is, she is not going to hurt you, please use the proper pronouns.

[He's still smirking, but he also holds up his hand, solemnly, his other hand over his heart.]

A dangerous sort of fun, but only the sort of dangerous where you feel frightened but not too frightened, just thrilled-frighted, and the sort of dangerous that will educate you on everything that you've missed while not having the pleasure of being on this ship.

[He leans forward and adds, in a whisper:] She's a rat, miss.

A rat? [ she actually laughs.] Wait-- a cute rat or one of those big ugly ones you see in alleys? Because neither of them are really risky-fun inducing.

It's not the first time we've had a melt down.
