Neither the Captain nor his commander have contacted the network recently, and I believe that is the only way you will get a chance to speak with them.

[ probably not. humans are, after all, the species who came up with the proverb ignorance is bliss, which is antithetical to everything the doctor believes. he loves them, but occasionally they can cling disappointingly to complacency. though that's not really fair, since he's talking to quite a young girl. ]
