How can people be so idle when there is so much at stake at your inaction?
[It's quiet. The past jump has not been kind to Marius. In fact, he sounds positively unsettled, almost as if he needs to just go to sleep and not talk to the public at large, but he needs to do something and this is the only way he can make his heart less heavy.]
We are slaves here to the whim of individuals we cannot even see, to those we cannot even meet, and -- I cannot keep quiet about it any longer.
[He draws in a breath.]
I know there will be much discussion about why we are here and whether or not we can escape -- and I am interested in hearing all of that, but what I am more interested in is opinion. I want to hear what people feel about being here, be it anger or apathy, rather than the facts of our situation, for nothing has ever been changed with cruel numbers and statistics so much as heart.
[And he stills for a long moment before Marius shuts off the feed -- and, maybe twenty minutes later, he sends out a text.]

What can be done about nightmares?
Text
Nightmares are merely the brain's way of dealing with unpleasant emotions and situations. Poor fool, I suppose you'll have to suffer from them as long as you're aboard this ship.

You, uh, want to talk about... feelings?

I want to talk about how people feel about being trapped here.

I was also told that I could not revolt against the monarchy.
I appreciate your opinion, but I'll have to reject it.

He knows that Enjolras will not be able to last long in this bastardized version of a cage, like a zoo animal, branded and prodded at.]

Fighting for something you aren't emotionally invested in will only end in failure and false promises.

A horrible combination of feelings, really.

Better than being angry or frustrated, I suppose.

Some are glad to be here. Some wish to leave, and some wait to be freed. Some wonder if it is better to be here than to be in their own world. For others [read: himself], it may be many of these at once.

[It's said just as quietly, but firm.]
And from what I have heard, should we resist, we are punished. This is tyranny.

Seems to me feelings are good to have, because we don't act if we don't feel somethin', but sittin' here talkin' about how frustrated we all are probably won't do much.

Stopping them altogether isn't something I'm sure is possible, but it would help to talk it out with someone else. Try to find the root of the fear if they're recurring. [ though most know that already. ] There's probably medicine you can take, too, though it might not be very helpful. Your best bet is visiting the medbay, and talking to a psychologist. Jenna Sommers (001 » 016) is heading the informal therapy movement, and I'm one of her lackeys. Don't worry—it's not as intimidating as it sounds; I promise. There's no judging eyes, just open ears. Not to mention, it's entirely confidential.
And you really ought to talk to someone, so it might as well be someone that is widely recognized as not sketchy.

Depends on what the nightmares are about.
