This is supposed to be a colony ship, right?

[ Judging by the video, John is sitting on his bed, the camera focused on the empty bed across the room. ]

So not only were there crew members living on board, but there were civilians, too. Couples, families looking for a new life. And all of them are gone now.

[ There's a slight shift, a creak from his bed. ]

When someone disappears from here, their stuff is usually left behind. So... what happened to the stuff from those people? Did they take it with, or did something happen to it?

[ The comm is flipped suddenly, facing up at John from his lap. He's frowning, not really looking at the device. ]

I guess that's another question we may not ever get an answer to.

Last time we found a derelict colony ship, it'd been hit by reavers. All their stuff was left behind, it was one scary sight, like they all just up and left. Middle of dinner or somethin'.

Maybe somebody took their stuff into the black part of the ship?

Reavers? [ He's not sure what they are but he doesn't like the sound of them. ]

Could be. Though I guess the question then is "who" and "how the hell did they cover the entire ship to get it all out there".

but we come, we go, sometimes objects appear... there's obviously something weird happening with space and time in relation to this ship. The items you're talking about might have gone when the people did, but not necessarily to the same location, in either sense.

I don't think there's any way of knowing, unless we find the items, or maybe unless some of those people turn up alive.

[All just theories, and since there's little chance of being able to investigate them, he's not very attached to them.]

They wouldn't have been able to airlock the oxygen gardens, not with the level of growth its at. [ Pause. ] Would they?
