[ the scene seems innocent enough. feferi is sitting on the floor of the ship, holding a jar of live bees in one hand, and there is a cuttlefish in a bowl between her knees. she is apparently recording on purpose, because she takes a moment to wink at her viewers before she turns and speaks to the jar of bees in her "empress voice". ]
Finally, my many sweeps of culling have come to fruition! On the 8th bilunar perigree of the 3rd dark season's equinox, I - Feferi Peixes, the Empress of Alternia - have officially deemed you worthy of re-entering Alternian society. Go forth, my loyal subjects, and become productive members of our most esteemed race!
[ she takes the lid off the jar. the bees are kind of sick of being shaken around, so a few of them fly out immediately, and the others follow. after a long moment of proudly holding the jar in the air, feferi's smile freezes. ]
... Uh.
[ she carefully puts the jar down, reaches over and turns off the device. a few minutes later, a text post shows up. ]
