[ He's getting out some vegetables in the kitchens when she shows up, turning his head to nod to her before setting them down on the counter. ]

[Bela acknowledges him with a smile and waits patiently for Reaper to begin. It was strange but she was looking forward to it.]

[ They could ask how the other's been but they don't, and that suits him just fine. It's a little odd with Bela watching but he doesn't let it get to him, just adjusts the vegetables (three, to start with) in his hands and starts.

He's good at it. His reflexes are good, but it's clear he's thinking -- trying to control his speed and his strength so nothing squishes, so she can actually see what he's doing. ]

[See, that would be the normal thing to do, to ask each other that but this wasn't a normal situation in the first place. She was watching him juggle vegetables.

Bela is impressed and while it's not showing on her face right now, she is still paying attention because it was fascinating.]
