[The post begins with a direwolf, peering with sharp curiosity into the device. It is a short video; it lasts only for about a minute, just long enough to take in the sheer size of the direwolf--large enough to fill the frame until he shifts to sniff at the device, and then you can see that he's very large indeed, and not only because of the perspective. But he's friendly-looking, for a wolf, ears pricked, eyes bright--and then the video ends.]

This is a direwolf, called Summer. There are six direwolves aboard this ship, and they are all of House Stark. They are not a threat to anyone save to those that might mean threat to the Starks. They are not pets and they are not tame, but they are not wild either. They will not bite you without reason. If they cause some mischief, you need only inform any of my House, and we will make right whatever they have wronged.

People are often afraid of direwolves. You need not fear any of our six. You may be wary but do not attack or provoke them and they will do you no harm. They are rarely apart from us so there should be no reason to do so. But I thought it should be said, as there are new people aboard this ship.

I am Bran of House Stark, and by my word, Summer will not harm you. If you would like to meet Summer, you may.

[SO THERE. And Bran might end there, all that having been said, but... a few seconds later, and he adds:]

I have some questions, too. I am looking for someone that might perform a wedding. And I am looking for people that might know of [--and this is more delicate to say--] transformations.

Summer and I will be there in fifteen minutes. Thank you, Remus Lupin.

[...and sure enough, in about fifteen minutes, there is a knock at Remus' door, followed by the sound of Summer eagerly snuffing at the bottom of teh door.]

[He smiles as he opens the door, and kneels down to offer his hand to Summer.]

Hullo, Bran. How have you been?

[Eagerly, Summer moves forward, sniffing at that outstretched hand with interest, and then sniffing at Remus' wrist, and then his forearm, too, his ears pricked and his tail curled high.

In contrast, there is some tiredness in Bran's face, but it fades as he smiles--a smile both in answer to Remus' smile and at Summer's display. ]

Hello, Remus Lupin. Summer and I have been well, though I think he needs more time to run in the Gardens. He dislikes small rooms.

[He scratches at Summer's ears, his neck, but Remus' attention is focused now on Bran.]

I should imagine so. It must be rather hard, being a direwolf on a ship like this. Would you like to sit?

Yes, thank you.

[Summer shoulders past Remus into the room proper, sniffing at the floor and the beds and anything else he's near. Bran follows his direwolf into the room, examining it with some interest.]

I think he's glad to have space to run at all. If we were on a sailing ship, he it would be harder.

[It's a rather divided room: half is covered in posters (made by Remus, as a gift) of Quidditch teams and such, while the floor has discarded bits of paper and quills and so on. There's even a motorcycle jacket hanging on one corner of a bed.

The other half, Remus' half, is neat but cluttered: filled with books and data pads, while open notebooks full of scribbled notes lay atop the bed, along the floor, stacked atop each other.]

Er-- sorry. Sit wherever. Have you and he ever been on a ship like that before?

[He observes the room a moment, then moves toward the neater side. Sitting on the floor can be done with these robotic legs, but the complication of it makes him choose the bed.]

We have never been on any ship before--the sea is far from Winterfell. Have you traveled in this way?

Merlin, no. Not on a regular ship or a ship like this. I get-- I'm not fond of travel, to be honest. I like my home.
