For anybody that's interested, I've set up a shooting rage on the eleventh floor, in one of the recreation rooms. I'm sure there's some kinda protocol I'm ignoring by doing this, but whatever, that's why I'm giving everybody a heads up here. If you hear gunshots from that hall, it's just me. I've left a chair outside the door so you all know exactly which room it is, so nobody should come bursting in or whatever when I'm shooting. [ lookin' at you, cop and hero-types. no need to get all huff-puff "I've come to save the day" on anybody. ] I know I'm usually kind of a goofball whenever I show up on the network, but this isn't something I'm taking lightly. I can't dictate who comes and goes, but don't disrupt unless you've got a good reason to.

Basically, this is a PSA to not be a dumbass and wander into the room I'll be open firing my gun in. [ shrug ]

If you wanna join - as in you've got your own gun and you wanna practice and you aren't a jackass about it - then by all means, stop by. Just knock first, yeah. And bring your own targets, I only set up about a dozen for now and I'm not exactly swimming in stuff to shoot at.

Oh, nah. Though I'd rather practice and get tired of it than suck at shooting when I actually need to be good at it. [ ... ] Man, that made very little sense. Whatever.

Alright lemme rephrase that-

Do you ever get tired of needing to be good at shooting things?

A little bit yes, a little bit no. I mean, I had to learn at home, so now at this point the idea of not knowing how to handle a gun makes me feel pretty unsafe. Well no, the fact that some of my friends here don't know how to use a gun makes me feel unsafe. You can't survive Zombieland without it, and here is starting to feel just as ridiculous.

[ sigh ]

But that wasn't what you asked. At first, when I was learning, yeah it sucked. Now it's just another thing.

[ that's, admittedly a little more honesty than she'd been expecting. but that's why she likes wichita. she's full of surprises. the corner of her mouth flicker into something that isn't quite approval or empathy, but manages to half ass it's way through faking them both. ]

Does that mean you're gonna open lessons for us?

Uhh. I could do that, sure. I've only ever taught my sister how to shoot, but I guess if I can teach her I could teach anybody. [ just a moment to think about it ] Then again, I'd probably have to get someone from security to help out so I can't be blamed if somebody loses a toe in the process. There's only so much responsibility I can willingly shoulder.

Alright lemme amend that to- Does that mean you're open to private lessons?

Oh! [ wasn't... expecting that, is all ]

Good, I was hoping that's where this was going. Didn't want to assume though, I dunno. But yeah, sure. Do you need me to see if I can get my hands on a gun from the armory? [ maybe she showed up here with a gun, or knows somebody that has one... cause hey, who knows. John Blake got rock climbing equipment that doesn't belong to him, so ]

Mmmaybe. I'll ask around today at the range, see what everybody's carrying. Maybe somebody woke up to a locker full of ammo last jump or something. Never know.

I thought if we got desperate enough, it couldn't be that hard to make our own. There's plenty of wrecked stuff just floating around in engineering.
